The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Remake

So, a remake of Wind Waker was announced recently. It's going to be for the Wii U, have HD graphics, an integration with MiiVerse, and possibly a few other changes. It'll be coming out this fall.

Anyone else as excited as I am for this? Wind Waker was, and still is, my favorite game I've ever played and I'm psyched to see it remade, no matter how many or few changes they make to it.

Legend of Zelda game for Wii U: Makes me happy

Legend of Zelda game for Wii U that isn't Majora's Mask: TABLEFLIP

I am indifferent to the idea, although I am a bit disappointed that it isn't MM. I don't own a Wii U, but either way, sounds like it would be fun.

Now I wish I had a Wii U more! :D To be honest, I think they shouldn't change anything too drastically from the original Wind Waker, just a HD conversion would be good enough for me.

Eh, I would pass on it myself, even if it's for the Wii U (which I don't have anyways). I still have the Gamecube game and play it once in a while on my Wii. If they made it for the 3DS, that would be a different story because that's the system I want to see Zelda remakes made for so I can play them on the go.

OMG! I have to call like everyone I know right now!(even if I don't have a wii u) (yet) "Dials random number" "Hello? Legend of Zelda Wind Waker is coming to wii u! I know, It's gonna' be awesome!" He seemed phyched.

I'm excited and annoyed at the same time. I'm excited because I've always wanted to play Wind Waker, but I'm annoyed because I don't have a Wii U. I might get one though (if I can convince my parents :p), considering I'd also like to get Scribblenauts, the Lego Marvel game, Aliens: Colonial Marines, and stuff like that. I'm also annoyed that we didn't get a NEW Zelda. Why couldn't we have gotten the Link to the Past sequel instead?

This is exactly like one of the announcements I was waiting for (that and the multitude that was announced today as well). There was really no reason to delay announcing these awesome games that are still in development and that are probably not coming out for a year at least or more (talking more about the other games that didn't get release dates).

Anyway, it's Zelda. In HD. It looks awesome from the concept art so far. And "enhancing the gameplay"? Wow, that's absolutely stunning if they fix the very few flaws with this game. Playing on the Gamepad too? I'm totally sold and this definitely reinforces the fact that I'll probably be getting a Wii U this year.

dmaster out.

HECK YEAH BUDDY. Just one small problem I don't have a Wii u and my parents won't by it for me. :( (3DS or Wii U so many hard choices!)

Next we just need okami and then we will be set, I'm glad it's wind waker actually, I'm weird and I think wind waker is second to oot.....I didn't like mm

I actually hear more people say OOT was better than Wind Waker; having grown up with Wind Waker though, I still favor it. I've never actually played Majora's Mask, although I seriously should.

I'm curious as to how the new graphics are going to look. I really enjoyed the graphics of the original game and I hope they'll just make them sharper and clearer rather than messing with the style.

Okay, that's the last straw. The last factor in determining whether or not I'll be buying a Wii now rests on the shoulders of the next Super Smash Brothers roster; this console will have too many good games going for it within the next year, so I simply can't afford to ignore it any longer.

Lots of people would have my head for saying wind waker is better than mm. I say oot > ww > mm. Heck I don't even hold mm that high on my Loz games. I don't like mm, at all.

It seems like more and more people have liked and warmed up to Wind Waker over the years.

I remember when the game was released, people really scoffed at the cel-shaded art style for Zelda, but honestly, it's just as good if not better than the other console Zelda games. It's most likely still a cult-favorite as far as Zelda games are concerned, but either way, it's great to see a game get re-released that most people didn't get the chance to play years ago.

loz ww for wii u so awesome but i dont care who you are mm is great. I dont truthfully belive they are going to remake it, because one of the videos on nintendo e shop states that there next loz game will not be a remake. I would say maybe it is a continued story but they already made one and one for that, so i am not saying theres no way its happening i am just saying its unlikely.

So many Zelda remakes these days, OOT for 3DS and now Wind Waker on Wii U? Where's Majora's Mask, that game is definitely due for a remake IMO.

they will eventually make a mm remake becauseit is the sequel to oot .

i dont care want the next remake is but i hope its not loz 1

Cell shading <3 <3 <3

I think I'm just playing mm wrong honestly, but I don't like the way you start over after every temple. It just throws me off that I get the slingshot or bow or what ever and then rush through a temple in time not to have to start over again.....and again.....and again till you get it right. As I said, I probably am playing it wrong and I'm making someone cringe reading how I play it :p.

Wind waker was just so beautiful and the bosses were so fun and it had such original and awesome ideas (the going through a level without your sword, beating up bad guys with there own giant swords, open sailing, so many side quests on all the islands, having a useful partner). Combat was awesome, and the 100 level dungeon was soooo fun.

Eeeh. I just started playing WW a few days ago for the first time.

Miiverse in Zelda sounds absolutely horrible. Social Zelda is no. Good thing it can be turned off. If I ever see a Mii head in my Zelda game heads will roll.
Edit: Looks like Miiverse is not inside the game. Good.

Not like I will get a Wii U for 3-6 years. I will get one once you can get them for like 40 € like a Wii right now. ;D

I didn't realy believe the whole remake thing saying they just made one, so i looked it up and they are making it, wich it makes sense. They are making a loz game and the first temple is bigger then hyrule in oot so this saves them money.And....
...YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

:/ I don't like the sounds of that temple. All of the water temples so far have been huge pains, oot water temple for obvious reasons (IRON BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS *shakes fist in the air*)

Ss water temple annoyed me too (the zombie part is the scariest but most fun thing in that game, climbing up that rope while they try to climb up it as well was soooo fun)

Tp water temple....oh god (we got enough water level stuff in oot, cut it out)

Ww didn't have a water temple but going to old Hyrule under the sea (haven't played the game in a while so I might be wrong) and floating on your boat everywhere was annoying.

I think Loz needs to cool it with the water levels....and most of the water levels are huge....thus huge temples can be annoying and tedious
