You don't turn on Lebron James when he's playing for you. You just don't.
So if he retires in Miami and never wins a championship, that is good enough?

That wasn't the question.

The question was whether or not Miami would turn on him. Why would you piss off the number one player in the NBA? I know I wouldn't want him leaving my team if he played for them.

If you have the best player and he's still not winning, the fans would attack the team management for not making good team decisions.

James reportedly "furious" over Gilbert's letter

If I were LeBron I would be furious. Seven years of giving an economy boost and entertainment back to Cleveland and that's the thanks he got? Even if I don't like LeBron, he doesn't deserve that kind of berating from Dan Gilbert.

Wow Lebron James. Just wow.
Seroiusly? THE HEAT? Talk about taking the easy way out...
How can Miami afford him, Wade, and CB4?
I love hate how he waits until all the other stars have signed (Stoudemire, Boozer, Bosh, etc.) before he picks his team.
I despise that man.

It's called business.

If he doesn't produce rings will Miami turn on him? If so how soon?

Those who say Miami won't turn on him

Well actually LeBron and them have been planning this for years which makes it;;

1. Against the rules
2. Makes him a traitor

Which screws business all over

If they're not in jail, it's not against the rules, or they weren't caught.

It hasn't stopped Donald Trump or Herb Strather.

I never saw Cleveland turn on LeBron when he couldn't win rings. They only turned on him because he left for Miami.

Why would they? This is the best thing Miami sports has gotten since the Heat actually drafted D-Wade. I also don't know why LeBron would be the target of their frustrations, since it wouldn't solely be his fault (unless he himself made conflicts within the team), so I don't understand that. The Big 3 are giving that city their only chance to win a title these next few years, because the Marlins, Dolphins, and whatever the name of that hockey team they have down there doesn't have what it takes to win a championship and won't any time soon.

People of Cleveland, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You should've known LBJ could easily bolt out of town, which he did. All of your actions are inexcusable. This is the same guy who made the team relevant, and you treated your 'King' like he was a criminal. Why would you burn all of your LBJ memorabilia over one simple decision that he wanted to win now? And Dan Gilbert, the GM, he should be ashamed of himself. How can you win a ring before LeBron does when you're team has no real star power now?

I think the Heat could easily win 4-5 championships before Cleveland even gets back to the NBA Finals.

While sources were interviewing Bosh at the event in which the Miami fans were celebrating the new so called "Super Team", Bosh let it slip the three have been talking about this for years. He then quickly remarked it had been "days". This may cause conspiracy in upcoming days because of the violation of certain rules of NBA

And it's kinda of obvious they've been planning this, which makes him an even bigger jerk for making an hour long, self promoting special of his decision. LeBron knew from 2006 this would happen, it's just they didn't know which team they'd all go for.

We would never turn on him, because he was literally the god of cleveland xD

I was reading an ESPN article, and apparently Stern didn't care if the three of them had a summit for the players BEFORE free agency started (he was quoted). He said that it didn't matter as much if the players communicated with each other, as much as if the teams communicated with the players. So while it may be against the rules, Stern certainly did not enforce it.

This did not come as a surprise to me as we knew Stern was a fool anyway.

Best regular game season is great, but the team just can't perform in the Finals...even if he had stayed.

dmaster out.

But isn't there a difference in expectations? When he first came to the Cavaliers, the fans were hoping he would improve the team. If you are a Miami fan are you happy with improving the team or are you expecting championships?
