FMA is amazing, but Youtube doesn't have all of them up, as far as I know. I think YouTube has up to episode 6 or 8 in English.

I do keep track of some of the mainstream series (Naruto, Bleach, Soul Eater, etc). However, I am always on the look out for underground or non-mainstream series.

Some of my personal favorites are:

Cowboy Bebop (anime)
Last Exile (anime)
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (anime and manga)
Ga-Rei (manga)
Bakuman (manga)
Tegami Bachi (anime and manga)
Saikano (manga)
RahXephon (anime)
etc.

I am mostly interested in the history of manga/anime and how it was developed into a art form today. I am also interested in the impact it has concerning Japanese youth culture (comicons, manga circles, etc) and its positive/negative impacts on it.

I haven't read much manga, but among the few that I have read, I must say I enjoy them. I've read Pokemon: Diamond & Pearl Adventures and Pokemon Adventures, but I especially love Cirque Du Freak. That has got to be one of the best series ever. I'm surprised to see no one has mentioned it here. I'm currently trying to find the sixth one; they're hard to find. I've never heard of some of the magna mentioned here, I want to try to read Full Metal Alchemist, it seems intresting enough.

I have more that I can't quite remember now.

I mostly read/watch shonen stuff, but I do like a good drama, if you do too, Clannad, Kanon and Air are amazing. And Fooly Cooly, but that's a comedy/action adventure.

I got a new hairdo and it makes me look like Nami. Lol.

Oh, and Omahanime, thanks for clearing up that Digimon, Pokemon thing. (Hmm... well I thought it was American...)

So, I am re-watching Cowboy Bebop for the umpteenth time, and it's still as amazing as it was the first time. I am also watching Zeta Gundam.

Have any of you guys seen AnoHana? It's sad, but it's REALLY good! You can watch it on gogoanime. It's currently an ongoing series

Cowboy Bebop, really good anime. I also like The Big O, in fact, that was the first ever anime I watched with Cowboy Bebop.

AnoHana is short for Ano Hi Mata Hana no Namae o Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai.

Longest title ever, I know XD

It translates to something like We Never Knew the Name of the Flower we Saw That Day.

I recommend it :) episodes come out in English subtitles every Friday.



Also, I don't like English dubs. I prefer the original Japanese version with English subtitles. It'll be a problem for me once everything we watch in the US is English dubs (and it's starting to become that way) but yeah. My first English dub anime after watching the Japanese version was Tokyo Mew Mew. They pretty much ruined it for me, so that's why I don't watch English dubs >.<

What's your opinion on English dubs and/or Japanese original with English subs?

I don't really watch anime, but my favorite anime has got to be Clannad. It's funny and entertaining at first, but later on it becomes very sad and depressing. I even cried my eyes out one time before....

Oh, and I also like Inuyasha (both the anime and manga...).

Onepiece with English Sub over One Piece Dubbed English. English dubs are horrible, in fact I would recommend anyone who wants to watch english dubbed anime to check if they have a mind because English dubbed is just plain horrible. They ruin everything and I much rather here them talk in Japanese and read the English then us ruining a good anime.

^ boom. Exactly how I feel! When I was watching the dubbed version of Tokyo Mew Mew a few years ago, I remember thinking about how they totally ruined it. Besides, anime is supposed to be cute (at least the girl amines) and the Japanese voices sound cuter and they fit a lot better with everything. It's all the original stuff.

(Off topic of dubs) One thing I thought was funny in AnoHana was the fact that they just change one letter to make it different.

Nokemon=Pokemon (this one made me and my friend laugh really hard XD)

@Pikachu: I've been watching it, and it's really good. Definitely one of the best animes for the Spring season ^_^ It always manages to bring a tear to my eye every episode >_<

Anyone here watches Narita Rhyohgo's Durarara? The anime blew my mind. I've even read all the light novels after that.

And also Martian Successor Nadesico. Perfect balance of mecha goodness and humour. I just wished they had made a second season or another movie, this is an absolute classic.
