Sorry for late reply I've been busy. I accepted you SPM3, welcome!

Ok guys, new topics are up!

1) What deck(s) do you run for Standard/Extended/Legacy/Vintage/Commander/anything?
Officially running G/B Deck. Still working out the bad spots though.

And that is all i have for good input on the new topics. I'll be heading to Legacy night at a local store on wednesday and a M12 Booster Draft on Friday. I'll let youu guys know what i get/place!

What deck(s) do you run for Standard/Extended/Legacy/Vintage/Commander/anything?
Thinking about making a UB control deck. I haven't made one of those before so it should be fun. I'm focusing on making this one more competitive. Any tips for someone new to the competitive MTG universe?

On a side note, I'll be making a banner soon. :3

Cool. I wouldn't recommend U/B Control, even if you have the $200+ to shell out for the deck. The reason being that Standard rotates on September 30th, so that the Zendikar block and M11 are no longer legal. Without Zen + M11, U/B loses Creeping Tar Pit, Tectonic Edge, Abyssal Persecutor, Preordain, fetchlands, Spell Pierce and Jace Beleren.

I'd go with a deck that will be legal after the rotation, such as Tempered Steel, Mono Red, some sort of Infect deck, or a rogue deck. Personally, I'm testing the Mono Blue Phantasmal deck.

@richkid - Good luck in both events!

I don't plan on buying the actual cards. This is just for Cockatrice. There's no point in me buying the cards because I can't go to tournaments and I rarely play with friends. =P

I'll try and make some sort of Artifact deck. Then an Infect deck. ^_^

Ah, I see. Cockatrice is awesome that way. I generally use Cockatrice to test about 10 different budget decks, and then I buy whichever one has the best results.

I've finally finished our banner! I quite like it. ^_^

Oh wow very nice! Is that the new Duels of the Planeswalkers art in the background? I love it! Can I have the code then?

Yes, that is the new art in the background :D

Code:

Finished my Tempered Steel deck. I haven't gotten the chance to play someone with it yet. I did solitaire test it though to see what kind of hands I would get. It's average casting cost is 1, which is really nice for an aggro deck.

Creatures:
x3 Auriok Sunchaser
x4 Glint Hawk
x4 Memnite
x3 Molten-Tail Masticore
x4 Ornithopter
x4 Steel Overseer
x2 Vector Asp

Artifacts:
x4 Chimeric Mass
x4 Mox Opal
x4 Origin Spellbomb

Enchantments:
x4 Tempered Steel

Lands:
x4 Dread Statuary
x16 Plains

There are cards in here that will have to be replaced after the rotation (Steel Overseer I believe is one), I'll find out exactly which ones in a minute.

EDIT: Steel Overseer and Dread Statuary will have to be replaced, the rest of the deck is from Scars so no worries. Suggestions?

Vector Asp is kind of random and doesn't really fit, but it has it's uses. Looking for a replacement.

Molten-Tail Masticore is the fattest thing in this deck, and in theory he should work very well at dealing quite a lot of damage. If you think he should be replaced, I'll take suggestions.

That goes for anything else in the deck as well. I'm open to any changes anyone may see fit to make. ^_^

Hmm. I'd say Signal Pest is better than Vector Asp. Vault Skirge is probably better than Glint Hawk, being an artifact. Ornithopter is another card being rotated out by the way. Sunchaser isn't that great here, and you've got a couple more Moxes than you need. These are my suggestions:

-2 Vector Asp
-3 Auriok Sunchaser
-4 Glint Hawk
-1 Molten-Tail Masticore
-1 Mox Opal

+3 Signal Pest
+4 Vault Skirge
+4 Etched Champion

Etched Champion is amazing here, with Metalcraft almost always on.

Thanks a ton! That looks a lot nicer. Glint Hawk's effect was counterproductive, anyway.

Hmm, as for Dread Statuary, Ornithopter, and Steel Overseer, what should I replace them with?

I'll do some searching. ^_^

EDIT: Buried Ruin is M12. Not sure if it's what I should replace Dread Statuary with, though.

In case you didn't notice it, nabby, the code for the banner is in the post with my decklist.

Dread Statuary can be replaced with Inkmoth Nexus, or more Plains. The slots filled by Ornithopter and Steel Overseer can be replaced with Mirran Crusader and Porcelain Legionnaire, possibly.

The changes have been made. Once again, thank you. ^_^

I took the liberty of replacing Dread Statuary with 4 Plains.

I can't decide whether to run 4 Mirran Crusaders or 4 Porcelain Legionnaires. :/

Currently it's at 4 Crusaders, but I can't decide. What do you guys think?

I would go with Crusaders, if you have/can afford them. You are a little light on two-drops though, and the Legionnaire is one of the best in Standard.

Anyone willing to go on Cockatrice and help me test it out?

Also, nabby, if I could get two colored mana added to the casting cost of my player card I would appreciate it. Two power and toughness points as well. :3

Oh sweet, now I have Lifelink. <3

I ended up not going to the thing tonight. I am still going on firday though. Almost got my deck where i want it. The number of cards and the cards are probably not what most people would like but i like them.

Nabby: Can i get one colored mana and one colorless mana added to my card?

I've been playing people in standard on Cockatrice.

My Tempered Steel Aggro deck is too slow to keep up with post-rotation Standard. I'm replacing Molten-Tail Masticore (functioned as a beatstick, but he's too pricey for the deck) and Mirran Crusader. He just doesn't fit, especially since he doesn't get the +2/+2 from Tempered Steel. :/

I'll look at some more of the artifacts in M12, maybe I'll find something that can help.

P.S. Made a Blue Artifact deck that centers around Infect with a side of Proliferate. It's untested, but in theory it should work well. I'll post it after I've run some tests. :D

EDIT 1: Ezuri's Brigade has got to be the most broken cost efficient creature in Scars. It costs 2GG and is 4/4. It's effect is "Metalcraft- As long as you control three or more artifacts, Ezuri's Brigade gets +4/+4 and has trample."

... o___o

Compare that to Razorfield Rhino from Mirrodin Besieged. Costs 6, is 4/4, and gains only +2/+2 from Metalcraft. o_O

@richkid: Got it.

@SPM3: I've tried Infect in Blue. You need to play a second colour, otherwise it doesn't work. Personally I like Blue/Black, since it gives you access to both Blighted Agent and Phyrexian Crusader, two of the best Infect cards.

Also, Ezuri's Brigade isn't that cost efficient, because you have to spend other resources (cards and mana) to get the artifacts out so that he gets his boost.
