It just so happened that all the judges were on at the same time, so we got right to work and got everything done for you!
First of all, starting with next months banner contest, you will be able to e-mail your entry to turn it in! Just be sure to put your Beach username and the image into an e-mail and send it to [email protected] This is an alternative method if you feel that your idea might be stolen, or if you would like to privately enter.
Let me explain the scoring system we have implemented for the Pokebeach Monthly Banner Contest. A first place vote is worth 10 points, a second place vote is 7 points, a third place vote is 5 points and an honorable mention is 2 points. So there is a point total based on what we thought, and it balances the competition so that you dont have to have a certain # of votes to win the contest.
Now to the results!
Honorable Mention-Lightning by Jamtok
Recieving 5 Points, Jamtok's banner took the Honorable Mention for the first Pokebeach Monthly Banner Contest. Congrats Jamtok!
Third Place-Volcanic Eruption by Xous
Receiving 12 Points, Xous' animated piece portraying Groudon and his volcanic eruption took Third Place! Congrats Xous!
Second Place-Wildfire by Ryuu7
Receiving all second place votes, Ryuu7's Wildfire banner took Second Place in the contest. Congrats Ryuu7!
First Place Champion-Death by Paper PokeMaster
Receiving a unanimous selection as our 1st winner, the judges felt that the concept Paper PokeMaster used was the most creative, and took a different approach to the challenge than everyone else. Not only that, but we felt that he incorporated his theme well into the piece and it came out well. Congrats to Paper PokeMaster for winning the first Official Pokebeach Monthly Banner Contest!
