For catching Shiny Pokes....can you reset the Radar before 40???What makes it so Special???

If by resetting, not going into a moving patch, then yes.

The Radar is special in that every time you chain a Pokemon, the chances of running into a Shiny Pokemon increase only during the chain.

Not sure if I could of made a thread for this, but...

In competetive format, what are the rules for DS Double Battes??? (outside of pokebeach)

1. How many pokemon do each player use?
2. Any restrictions on Pokemon?
3. Any Item restrictions?
4. Duplicate items?
5. Are there any special battle rules?
5a. Like, can I have both pokemon attack 1? Or is doubling up illigal?


Ive never done double battle format before...

I am fairly positive that all rules that apply to competitive Single Battle also apply to competitive double battle - that is, everything carries over.
However, if a Single Battle affair would be 3v3, Double would instead by 4v4. But if a Single Battle affair is 6v6, so will the Double Battle.

If you mean vgc 4

There is a ban-list find it in the link later

Item clause is on, other than that no

No, item clause is on so no duplicate items

here are the VGC rules from last year, just go to the video game tab and then official regulations: http://www.go-pokemon.com/worlds/2009/

so as you can see there is no evasion, sleep, or 0hko clauses, when a standard ruleset is put together with shoddy 2 that may not be the case, but for know that is the most standard ruleset

Yeah, I read that all. I dont worry about moves like Hypnosis.
1HKO moves like Fissure are stupid and prove you are weak.
And the only evasion moves I use would be sandstorm/Garchomp.

If you use beat up, and your opponent has spikes/stealth rocks down, do your pokemon take damage?

Two questions:

1.) How many layers of Spikes/Toxic Spikes/Stealth Rock can you lay down?

2.) How do you EV train LV.100 Pokemon? How are we gonna EV train our Arceus!? AAAHHH!!

Unfortunately, you can't EV train it to 252 (or whichever you choose) if it's lv. 100, but you can get one stat to 100 by giving it vitamins.

That's what I did for mine, just got the IVs and nature that I liked and then fed it 51 vitamins :p (I was able to get an effort ribbon after that)

You can lay down 3 layers of Spikes, 2 layers of Toxic Spikes, and 1 single layer of Stealth Rock. The third layer of Spikes would do 25% damage for every switch-in, while the second layer of Toxic Spikes would inflict Toxic-poison on the opposing switch-in.

Pokemon at Lv. 100 cannot be EV trained, as the stats gained via EV training are gained gradually as you level that Pokemon up. As of now, only vitamins (Protein, Carbos, etc.) can be used, giving 100 EVs to which ever stat you want, or giving 25 stats in total. Nothing much you can do other than vitamins I guess.

So...the smart thing to do with my Arceus would be to feed it the Sp.Atk and Spd. vitamins?

Edit: I have a Lv.51? Mew who I have battled with. It has not been EV trained, and I would like to get rid of all the accidental EV points I gave it. How would I do that? I know I need some sort of berries...

Also, how do you abuse the RNG?

You can only ev a maximum of 100 evs in each stat using vitamins (protein, carbose, etc)

So can you EV train a level 100 pokemon?

I thought it was no, but someone told me im wrong on a different thread.

You can't EV train them; you can attempt to get somewhere with Vitamins. They provide EVs but are capped at 10 per Pokemon. Or 10 per stat? Can't remember. Regardless it's still not at it's full potienal.
