BW/BW2 The Simple 5th Gen VG Questions and Answers Thread

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

I'd assume the DOB of the account itself, what with that "registered" bit.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

In the Dream World how do I get the ice dragon house with the big D on the door? I see these every now and then but don't know what to do to get it. Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

I'm going to assume it was a special Japanese-only (so far) promotion. If it's not in the catalog yet, we're either going to get it later or it was for a promotion we aren't going to get.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Aw man that stinks. I sure hope we get wind of those houses or get a Japanese version to do it XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Not sure if anyone has a real answer to this question.

So I use the Dream World fairly frequently, as some of you may be aware. And, for the most part, it works just fine. There's one exception, however: and it's the Ice Cream Scoop minigame.

When I ask to play that minigame with that Pokemon, it puts me on the Loading screen as usual, but then it gets stuck at 100% and never goes anyway. That pieces-of-eight emblem is still moving and spinning as usual, but the Loading's suck at 100% and it never goes anywhere. As a result, I have to refresh the page.

I do not have this problem with any other minigame trying to get it to load. Furthermore, it also doesn't matter what species I try to play Ice Cream Scoop with - it will never load. Does anyone have, or has had, this problem, and if so, how would I go about fixing it?

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Your internet connection might be too slow or you might need to get more RAM so it will load properly. In the meantime scan your computer and defrag it at least once a week to receive the best possible speed.:)

Anyway. Has anyone ever had this glitch happen? I was battling in the Football dome yesterday and was battling a Darnation or whaatever that monkey Pokemon is. He wiped out my Rapidash and somehow the HP got stuck on 1 HP but my Rapidash fainted and I could not switch or even attack. If I did it skipped my turn and then the CPU could attack. I did this until he got down to the move struggle but everytime that was used it said it failed so he did not suffer recoil damage at all. I could not attack switch or even heal. If it did it just skipped my turn so I finally soft resetted and it was fine after that.

My question is has it ever happened to anyone before? Thanks XD. Was a cool glitch. Wish it worked in the Battle Tower or Frontier. LOLz.:)

My Internet connection is really weird. It lags at random moments and I've no idea why. I'll try defragging my hard drive to see if that helps, though.

As for that glitch? I have heard it happens before with some copies of B/W - where you just get stuck and you can't attack. I don't know how to trigger it, nor have I ever had it happen to me, but I know it's a real glitch since I have heard a lot of stories about it.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Hmm weird but was kind of cool XD.:)

It happenned to me while bettling the fighting type elite four guy, between his Conkeldor and my Luxray, and unlike what happened to you, after choosing who to switch in the game froze so I just clicked home and came back where I last saved. And I have seen other peoples battle subway videos where something similar to this happens, all your and your opponents moves fail so you have to quit the match, weird.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Yeah it is kind of cool but weird XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Unless you diden't save in a long time, then it is not cool at all.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

I always save my game XD. I save after each dome and battle event or item event XD. I am not that dumb. I am smarter than most XD.:) You should always save after you battle all the trainers in each dome. Item or the Cynthia battle or the game freak dude. Sometimes I save before I do the big battles so if I have to I can soft reset to get the most EXP. Oh yeah I even save before and after I do the ship too. That way if time runs out I can restart until I beat all trainers XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

When teaching a TM or HM move onto any Pokemon why does it not fully copy the move with it's full PP? For example If you are overwriting a move with 10 PP for instance and you add a new move with say 15PP or more it leaves 10/15 PP rather than the full 15/15 PP. Why did they do this? In the past generations it copied it perfectly. Why change it so you have to heal after adding more move(s) with more PP than you previously had? Thanks XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

What? You can't gain anymore PP than allowed by 3 PP UP's or one PP MAX so that would be impossible. You could not do that in 4th gen. That does not make sense XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

No, It's so you can't simply delete and relearn the move every time you run out of PP. If it didn't copy it, you'd have infinite pp restoring for any TM moves.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

Why would that have an effect one how we do things in our own personal games? The way I see it is that there is no need to deleted or overwrite a TM unless you are doing the Heart Scale event. In any case that is the most outrageous and pointless way to remove and re add TM's All you need to do is copy the move back on in 4th gen. In 5th gen you can do the same thing but there would be no reason to do this since on some moves it overwrites perfectly if it had the same PP as the prior move. What I am getting as is that there is no infinite PP on any attack. What they did was actually pointless XD. They always find a way to mess people over. If it is not the VG it is the TCG and Vise verse XD.:)

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

^...So? I fail to see why your opinion on the situation matters very much. No disrespect intended, but what we might think about things will not change whatever has already been set in stone.

RE: The Fifth Gen Questions and Answers Thread

In the Dream World when you water plants and buy thing from the shop book How many points per field do we get? Do we get 10 points per plant or 10 points per field? Also how many points do you get for swapping berries for items? Thanks XD. Today I ended up with over 650 points so I was wondering? Also when our Pokemon level up after 500 points do they learn moves on their respected levels? For example does Charizard learn Flamethrower at level 35 if it got there from leveling up by the Dream World for getting to the 500 point mark? Thanks XD.:)
