One thing wrong with that list, Game&Watch is for sure to return to the next SSB, and here is why.
1. He was in Melee and Brawl
2. Nintendo released that the only reason he wasn't in the original, was because they didn't think the game would be popular.
3. Game&Watch was Nintendo's first game

We need a new Metroid character for crying out loud! I'm tired of the "Ridley is too big" crap. He should be in, and he's not the only option for another Metroid character....

My anticipated new characters list:

Sonic characters
Sonic is an insanely popular character with kids and casual players (like me :D), so I'd say we'll be seeing at least two or three more characters. Most likely Tails, Knuckles, and Amy.

Mario Characters
There are a lot of different ways Nintendo could go with this. Birdo, Koopa Troopa, Shy Guy, Waluigi, Toad, Any of the Kongs, Baby Mario... there are a lot of possibilties.

Animal Crossing?
They really laid Animal Crossing on thick in Brawl, with tons of trophies and stickers, Smashville, Pitfall, and Resetti. I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody from AC. I'm just not sure who...

Zoroark>Lucario
First there was Mewtwo. Then Mewtwo got scrapped for the new Lucario. It would be surprising if Lucario wasn't replaced by Zoroark.

Megaman
The games are popular, and with the recent debute of the comic, I think Megaman will make an appearance.

For metroid fans, my friend and I had the thought of Dark Samus being in the game....
Also, out of randomness, I would LOVE to see Birdo in the game XD

For megaman I don't know what series they will use and which character. I just hope they use one.

I would love Ridley in the next game. Size is irrelevant, have you seen Bowser in Sunshine or Olimar in the Pikmin games? Their size can change, and Metroid needs another rep.

As for G&W - You're right, I just really dont like him DX.

Just posting to say that if Zoroark rplaces Lucario I will cry.
I was sad that Luc replaced Mewtwo, Mewtwo has a better design and backstory.
Zoroark is not as strong a character as the former two.

Toon link, sonic, Ike, Kirby, I dunno whatever suits you best I guess. Those are just some of the ones I use( you already said pikachu so I didn't).

Having Dark Samus and/or SA-X would just be ridiculous.... They're just Samus clones is all they are.

safariblade, I told you to try Donkey Kong, didn't I? The two have amazing synergy together.

I'd like to see a rehash of Peach's moveset to include her Super Princess Peach abilities, even if it would mean that she'd be crying, and spinning, and healing herself. I would miss the Vegetables though. :[

Not completely true. It depends on how safariblade uses Pikachu. Maybe safari spams with pikachu, making a character like Zelda or Olimar a good character to try, or maybe air game, making kirby or jiggly better, maybe spacing... Safari, can I have a match with you saturday?

I was thinking Donkey Kong, due to the focal point of grabbing in their playstyles. Then I remembered that I recently taught Safari about Pikachu's chain grab against the Space Animals. His response was "Oww".

So I'd go with a spammy character, like Diddy. His bananas discourage getting near Diddy Kong, and yet the peanuts force people to get near Diddy. Its a win-win situation for Diddy. When I'm back from my Holidays, and we start our tutoring, I'll show you what I mean.

I don't mind Didd Kong. He feels similar to Pikachu in terms of speed and weight.

I'd like to see Reshiram and Zekrom as playable, though I doubt that would happen. If we're lucky, we might get them in the Poke Ball item though. I'd kind of like to see a stage where lightning strikes down randomly from the sky. Maybe Dragonspiral tower could have that element if Zekrom is in the background and random eruptions or something if Reshiram is in the background. It would be really cool as I've always wanted a stage like that.

They Need Cooking Mama

I don't have much of a wanted list for the new game, but it would be awesome if Cooking Mama came and threw cooking knives and Turkey Basters at people. And she could have FOOD POISONING! It's against the nature of her game to fight 'n' stuff, but that would be awesome.

EDIT: Cool, Cooking Mama earned me 400 posts.

I'd be surprised to see Reshiram and Zekrom playable. But, I wouldn't be surprised to see them as stage hazards on the inevitable Dragonspiral Tower/N's Castle stage, or PokeBall Pokemon.

Haha, Cooking Mama would totally make the game M rated. I love it!

Hey guys I posted a lot in the old thread and I joined this one before I went to camp and didn't get the chance to post in it before I left.

I think Bippa nailed it. Ike will probably get replaced, it's not worth crying over him for one of the best games of Nintendo consoles and soon to be Nintendo handheld gaming. King K. Rool would be awesome! He seems like he would be a very likely appearance. Waluigi should probably enter the game, many with another Mario character. I think Paper Mario should also come in, and then he could probably leave or get replaced like Dr. Mario.

EDIT: BTW my FC is 0217-1477-5005. I just realized it was in my profile the whole time and I couldn't remember it when signing up.
