I don't really have any opinions on SSB 3DS other than the fact that I'm very skeptical about how it's going to work. SSB just seems like it would work on a console better than a handheld, but Nintendo's known for being the crazy guys with the wacky ideas so who knows, maybe it'll be pretty slick.
Don't expect a slew of third-party characters, either. Brawl has 35 characters and only two made the cut; Sonic because he's immensely popular, and Snake because he was begged to be included (in Melee, actually, but the request came too late in the game's development). Yeah, it'd be neat, but I'm thinking no more than five 3p characters. Maybe even three.
As a Mega Man fan, though, I would like to see him in SSB. I think that if there are any more Sonic characters to included, it will most likely be either Shadow, Tails, or Eggman.
What about obscure Nintendo titles? Pit was a mystery pretty much everyone under the age of 20 until Brawl came out, and now he's getting his own game for the first time in 20 years. (aside: I don't care if you are under 20 and knew who Pit was, I'm making a generalization here so don't point it out just to prove me wrong.)
