RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

(the title does have explicit language)

Fortunately for me, I have never encountered any trolls. Except for one time I encountered someone who was hacking to have unlimited use of Wario's FS, but I got disconnected.

RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

I don't usually play on Wifi because of the trolls, and all the lag. Only time I'm on is when I'm battling friends.

I want to thank everyone who has played their matches done so quick. I'm sorry you guys are waiting, but I've contacted Dark Void about the match between him and R-C. jirachinick hasn't been online since the 14th, so if he doesn't come online by the 21st, PDC will get the win.

Again, thank you for your patience.

RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

Just to be clear, the 21st is tomorrow, right?

RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

The 21st is tommrow.

RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

I changed my top 5 after I've played more Brawl:

1. Pit
2. Ganondorf
3. Ice Climbers
4. Wario
5. Marth/Dedede/Zelda/Sheik (All tied)

I'm sure you're wondering why I put Ganon as 2nd. Well you can ask PDC/hipoke. It requires a combination of timing, skill, avoiding accidental falls, aim, and early assessment of the opponent's moves. Otherwise known as spamming side special. Works kind of like chain grabs, except harder to pull off, not as good, can't knock off to the side, and overall worse when you're doing it with the only character in the game--the worst character. It doesn't always work, extra jumpers (MK, Pit, Kirby, etc.) have an easy way of avoiding this. Most extra jumpers are frail, so instead of spamming side special most of the game, it's easier to just use a combination of side special and smashes. It won't work on MK for sure, because he's plainly too quick, and can shift before Ganon can side special, and I can even predict the shift. Aside from extra jumpers, and the stuff I mentioned in the second sentence, it also depends on the player and character.

Too bad I really can't practice Ganon (my way) because nobody really likes my strategy, and that's understandable (But how people can accept chain grabs and not this would be beyond me). But in the future tournaments, he's my man.

Seriously, the pros at tournaments can easily avoid that, as I've avoided it a lot already. That's not how to play ganon. Watch some videos on REAL ganons play, or ask PMJ or somin.

RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

Hmm.... what to do, what to do.

Well, its the 21st now, and PDC and jirachinick haven't played their game. So PDC gets the activity win.

I might just have to flip a coin between Dark Void and R-C. I don't want everyone waiting for one paring. They have today to play, then the coin is flipped, and Round 2 starts.

Or maybe I should DQ them both...

Oh, and at the end of today, there will be... a surprise.

And so have I. Tyraniking, you've never beaten me with Ganon unless I commit suicide.

RE: The Smashers ~ Pairings in OP ~ Check Out Post #391 if you're in the tournament!!!

I don't think that I should get the DC since I have been far more active than R-C in trying to get the match played. On the 15th I pmed RC asking when he could brawl, and he replied today/tomorrow. He told me to go on the chatrooms and message Koala since that was his brother. As soon as I got the pm I went on the chatrooms and have done so pretty much every time I logged on for the last week but I haven't found Koala. On the 18th, I pmed him again, but I haven't gotten a response to this. I think I should note R-C has posted on the forums since then, but has not responded to my pm. Yesterday I sent him another pm which has not been responded to. I admit that I am biased in this matter, but it doesn't seem fair to me that I should be DCed for that.

Dark Void gets the activity win.

Pairings posted. Go crazy, and get them done quick.

(Mostly) Everyone did so well at getting their matches done within a week, which is why the deadline is in one week.

Remember, I'm not a competitive Brawler, and this works fine on people in this group, for the most part. There is no REAL way to play Ganon, I play Ganon my way, and everyone else can play him their way.

Because I've never played my actual Ganon against you?

RE: The Smashers ~ Round 2 Pairings in OP!

Yo.

I'm only available Today, and on the deadline of the tournament. (I'm going to the beach the week before school starts for me. :O ) So, yeah, I'll try to get it done, but I might have a bit of trouble.3

RE: The Smashers ~ Round 2 Pairings in OP!

Cool, I get a bye, I didn't have wi-fi this week anyways so lucky me huh?

I've been testing a bit and recently just got Wolf and I've changed my top 5

1. Meta Knight
2. Sonic
3. Wolf
4. Toon Link
5. Pikachu

One of my friends can own me normally with Marth and I owned him with Pikachu xD

RE: The Smashers ~ Round 2 Pairings in OP!
