Psyched for my first tournament here. I seriously doubt the tiers will change a lot, if at all.

I've got 7 people signed up. One more, and we'll start 3 days after they've signed up.

I'm thinking Diddy will fall a spot or two, as well as Pit falling a bit. I think they're both overrated, and SWF seems to agree with me to an extent.

Ganon should get his own tier. :p

Ganon does have his own tier in the Japan tier list. He has G-tier all to himself. Japan meta is a lot different, the only real similarity is that Ganon is bottom and MK/Snake are Top 2. Otherwise it's very different.

Yes, not to mention Sheik is extremely high tier, notably due to the fact that Marth is much more popular there as well. Mario is also higher than Wario which is rather shocking.

Japan tiers, yes. They have a much more offensive metagame, as well as a tad less campy than US.

We're quickly going to change the topic to the Japanese tier list. Then we'll move on to the new list when its announced.

Sign-Ups for the tournament end Thursday. Round 1 will start on Friday. We currently need one more.

EDIT: Huge and important, Must read for tournament entries. Characters will be assigned through a random number generator to prevent abuse of the random button, and claiming you randomly got your main.

This the Japenese tier list? ROB the king of A tier? Sounds strange. I like this tier list better than ours though. Zelda is shown a lot of love. Guess they play a lot of Zelda/Sheik down there. And for the tourney, will you just pick the character, or will you pick the color too?

Well, you put like, 37 in the "max". Then you hit generate, and you get a number between 1 and 37. 1 is Mario, 2 is Luigi, and so on.

The tier list that hipoke linked is indeed the Japan tier list for Brawl. There are some things about it that are extremely different, and others that aren't as much. Like I said, they have a much more offensive metagame than we do.
