RE: Yugioh Thread

k so I've been trying to make a galaxy/photon deck. Since so many of them go so well with Ultimate Offering (Photon Tiger, Photon Lizard, Galaxy Knight, Galaxy Wizard, all of them basically) I'm running that and 3 gold sarcophagus to search it out, but its still too inconsistent. List is in the spoiler, I'd love some help.

Monsters:
3 Cyber Dragon
3 Galaxy Knight
3 Galaxy Wizard
3 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
3 Photon Caesar
3 Photon Lizard
3 Photon Tiger

Spells
2 Advance Force (comboes deliciously with Cyber, Wizard, and Knight with Ultimate Offering into Caesar, Galaxy-Eyes, etc.)
1 Dark Hole
3 Galaxy Expedition
3 Gold Sarcophagus
1 Heavy Storm
2 Photon Lead
2 Photon Sanctuary

Traps
2 Dimensional Prison
1 Mirror Force
1 Ultimate Offering

Extra
1 Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon
1 Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut
1 Constellar Pleiades
1 Digvorzhak, King of Heavy Industry
2 Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon
1 Number 15: Gimmick Puppet-Giant Killer
1 Number 17: Leviathan Dragon
1 Number 32: Shark Drake
1 Number 39: Utopia
2 Number 40: Gimmick Puppet-Heavenly Strings
1 Number 88: Gimmick Puppet-Destiny Leo
1 Tiras, Keeper of Genesis
1 Wind-Up Zenmaines

Side
2 Accel Light
3 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Photon Lead
1 Photon Sanctuary
3 Chain Disappearance
1 Dimensional Prison
1 Mirror Force
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Leviair the Sea Dragon
1 Number 33: Chronomally Machu Mech

I'm thinking I should cut down on some of the level 8s, they can clog my hand a bit, as well as Cyber Dragon because without Advance Force out its not very useful, for some draw like Cardcar D or Maxx "C". Any other ideas are really appreciated though.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Sorry for the incredible bump, but I managed to get my hands on my first Return of the Duelist: Special Edition box. Pretty sweet pulls, if I do say so myself:

(ultimate)

probably the best special edition box ever, haha

RE: Yugioh Thread

I tried finding a gif that accurately described my face when I pulled the Grandsoil, but they were all too weak.

Also, if you guys ever want to have a relaxed duel, feel free to PM me or something. I feel like I don't play you guys enough anymore. D=

I'm not exactly much of a "relaxed" duelist anymore, but I'll make something...mild.

RE: Yugioh Thread

woah bump woah

So, I've been practicing on DN a bit, and I think it's about time we FINALLY get another tournament going. Plus, there's been so many new decks thrown into the spotlight during the last few months, and I wanted to get some of your guys' opinions on them. Namely, Mermail-Atlanteans.

RE: Yugioh Thread

I'm sadly not current with the metagame anymore :( Could anyone fill me in on things?

There's the meta/BDIF for you. A lot of other decks are actually becoming viable, but these are the most popular ones. Stuff like Dark World, Six Sams and Inzektors are still good too. Oh, Agents and Chaos Dragons as well, they're still good.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Don't forget Inzektors and Hieratics. Six Samurai are competitors now. I'm playing YGO more often so I wanted to bump this to raise more discussion.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Hieratics go under tne category of Chaos Dragons for me, and while it is true that Inzektors are still playable, they're nowhere near as big as they used to be, requiring cards like Threatening Roar, One Day of Peace, or Upstart Goblin to give them the hand/field presence they need.

EDIT: And I even mentioned Inzektors in my previous post, lol.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Inzektors lose to Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror. You flip one of those and unless your opponent plays smart or unusual, Inzektors will just crumble before it.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Inzektors lost a lot when Hornet and Dragonfly bacame limited, seeing how these were their best cards.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Is Dino Rabbit as big as it used to be, even with 2 Rabbit?

Also...Dimensional Fissure or Macro Cosmos?

RE: Yugioh Thread

You bet. On top of that, they also run Leviair the Sea Dragon to recycle Rabbits with incredible ease (don't forget, Tour Guide exists and is still at 2). Dino Rabbits hasn't lost a whole lot...not nearly as much as Inzektors have.

...As for D-Fissure vs Macro, that's a really tricky question that doesn't have a straight answer: they're used for different things...mostly because Macro Cosmos is a Trap card, and thus has that surprise factor. But if you want (or need) quick and immediate shut-down, go for D-Fissure. D-Fissure is extremely common in Side Decks. Macro, not sure.

RE: Yugioh Thread

Macro gets main decked in a lot of Rabbit decks nowadays, mostly for the reasons DNA stated. I prefer it over D-fissure.

Also, if you play any on DN, you've probably noticed the newest hype deck - Fire Kings/Brotherhood of the Fire Fist. I LOVE it, and I can't wait until Cosmo Blazer is released so I can start building the deck irl.
