Mew technically does count as an answer.

And while double-checking the list, I found one MORE Pokemon that counts. So, now there's still 3 results remaining, and Mew is no longer an eligible guess (since I just said it).

No, because you didn't guess the correct number of how many. He only gets 2 points because the correct answer is 7 and he got 4 of them right.

Ekans = snake. You never said you could read it backwards, you just said without changing the spelling.

I think Hypno is a word, but I'm not entirely sure. Also would Deoxys count? I know deoxy is a word but I'm not sure if Deoxys (with an S at the end) is a word.

Ekans does not count as "ekans" is not a word. Reading it backwards still counts as changing the spelling.
"hypno" and "deoxy" are not words - they are prefixes, so they don't count.
