First order of business, the winner of the bonus question is TheGuy. The Republic of China does not border any country; therefore the answer is zero. However, since Peachy was kind enough to give and explain both, he gets 2 points.

oyeah1988: +0. I'd argue that Koga and Sabrina are far more difficult; although you have access to a lot more, both of their highest level Pokemon are level 50 (a huge jump from Erika's 32), and both have access to Psychic. And one of them is Alakazam >_<

For the love of Keldeo: +1. emphasis on "player". however, it could be argued that Ash is, as he gets a new girlfriend each season.
