Dragonite
Goodra

Maybe they will get it with a mega form

The only problem I see with this is that neither Dragonite nor Goodra can learn Fairy attacks.

Maybe not for this gen but it is possible for gen 7
Azumarill never knew Play rough until this gen

Ampharos didn't learn any Dragon moves pre-gen6.
All they'd need to do would be to add, say Moonblast to their level up movesets and then let them learn Dazzling Gleam by TM.
Hell, Altaria can learn both of them now... maybe its the best prospect for a potential Dragon/Fairy Mega.

Play Rough didn't exist before this generation.
Any Fairy moves, retypes and all are all gen6 onwards. (like Clefairy was introduced in gen1, but it became a Fairy in gen6)

That kind of was my point, that maybe now it will not happan but next gen everything is possible

I've actually created a couple of these for Pokemon Shroob (Normal/Dark, Ice/Fighting, and Bug/Psychic to be specific). When I get home tonight I'l post art and info of them.

except whilst Play Rough was an impossibility in gen5 as it didn't exist, its possible that Dragonite and/or Goodra could have their movepools expanded to include new moves. Its happened in prior gens (that Pokemon get updated movepools in 3rd games/remakes) and as such seems likely it could happen.
Its not like it would break the data for X/Y (and they're pretty much guaranteed to have a patch as the data for most of the new Megas aren't in them and there are 2 new moves introduced for Primal Groudon/Kyogre)

Saying something like 'Goodra won't get a retype until next gen' would be more accurate as its more likely for a Pokemon to get such a change at the beginning of a gen rather than halfway through one. whereas a move being put in its movepool that wasn't there before is just a touch up.

That's right but then why they didnt bother to give new dark moves to Mega Gyarados like crunch ?
I can't figure out what is going in their minds and if they really care about a Pokemon with two types having good STAB moves from both of its types.

Maybe it's the same reason why normal Gyarados doesn't learn any flying type moves.

By Arceus, no! Please no! Make a branched evolution for Dragonair!! Don't retype Dragonite nor give it a Mega-evo.

I would like to see Spiritomb evolving into some "Graveyard Pokémon" and being Ghost/Rock. Hell that Pokémon only has Dark as its type because of its evilness but the rock has also a role to play so make it happen!

Dragonite will never get retyped... that would make no sense... and I don't see it getting a mevo either really. :p

@KamonSurge: Not really, and every typing can be adjusted with stats and moves.

Still when someone says Dragon/Fairy a picture of Dragonite comes to my head

I think that one of the most interesting type combination is Normal/Dragon
Just to see what a normal dragon looks like in Game Freak's opinion lol

I'd imagine a white dinosaur-looking thing. Maybe an Oviraptor.

Off-topic, but really, gamefreak, what the hell.
All they had to do was give it a "Dark"-version of Pixilate.
It would change Thrash into an overpowered double boosted rampage of death. But nooo lets give it Mold Breaker. It's so obvious and so awesome. WTF

I guess that will have to wait till gen 9 now, when they add ability tutors.

D&D's Faerie Dragon, of course.

I'd like to see the Magmar line become Fire-Poison. He does learn a small handful of poison moves, no reason not to give him more.
The Electabuzz line going Electric/Fighting makes sense to me, too. Maybe just keep it to Magmortar and Electivire, though.

@the type list on the first page: We have Fire/Water (Volcanion) and Psychic/Ghost (Hoopa).

I think Florges should be Grass/Fairy. It's a flower, it's called the "Garden Pokemon", and it has a lot of Grass moves and an ability that supports Grass types.

I still don't get why they didn't do that. A secondary Grass type is so obvious for Florges, that any similar cases up till now can't compare lol (like Golduck not being part Psychic etc).

I know, I'm just not including them until they're officially revealed.

I'd like to see some more interesting Electric type distributions, there aren't a whole lot of interesting dual type combinations outside of Rotom's forms. What I really want to see is Electric/Fighting, Electric/Psychic, or Electric/Dark.

Fighting/Ghost would be good for some kind of warrior spirit Pokemon, I'm kinda surprised Game Freak's never done something like that.

But Florges is a decoy plant. It's just in a costume. The one true crime, though, is it doesn't learn any energy draining moves.

I really want to see a Bug/Fairy type. Maybe a sprite, or a fairy like Navi or Tinkerbell.

I always imagined Bug/Fairy as being a fusion of that and a typical butterfly.

I'm just a little bias is all. Psychic is my favorite type. I still don't understand how Psychic is weak against bug nor Dark. But that's just my....and what I never understood is how it isn't the reverse:

Fighting Against Dark. From what I understand of fighting is that it's more physical than about fighting dark which would represent fear.

So shouldn't Dark be weak against Psychic since Psychic is about mental and willpower to beat the dark. And the opposite be true about Psychic being weak against dark.

Which also reminds me why is Ghost, the only type weak against itself? You don't see grass being super effective against other grass types.

Dragon is also super effective against itself.
