But how can something come out of nothing science specifically states that everything has a beginning and what was ours? Its hard to believe that a cell popped out of nowhere.

Same with god, except God was way stronger and more advanced and also divine and when he came into exsistance, thee was NOTHING AROUND THAT COULD OF POSSIBLY TRIGGERED IT. Besides, my point there was spontaneous change in organisms.

I never said that! If you don't believe that something appeared out of nothing, then you don't follow any religion AND you're not Athiest!

Also to everyone here I am a grade A* student so I do know what im talking about, I am stufying medicine so I took it upon myself to learn everything about science and these 2 theories just don't add up, its guess work nothing evidence based.

We have a very flawed understanding of Science as a whole. I'm sure we have a good bit of what we know right, but we probably have quite a bit wrong and there is a LOT we don't know.

I would only believe something if someone gave me evidence and nobody can cause it never happened :)

Everyone seems to have an answer for everything but they dont get straight to the point! =P, Im saying that God creating everything is a more plausible understanding of the universe than the big bang theory and the evolution theory.

I do know that scientist have a very flawed understanding of most things but then your telling me that what scientist have told us may not be the truth, you cannot base your life on what one man has said.


Also being Atheist is a belief, it is a belief in no god, the evolution theory and so on.

Also I am going to say to you that the big bang theory still doesnt make sense, things collided with each other, where these materials come from God knows, and then they hit each other making the universe a perfect place for the Earth to turn into what it is today :S

The Earth is a perfect environment, you cannot seriously believe that a single celled organism made every single living thing there is, thats trees, grass and all plants then there are billions of species of animals. All are very diverse and massive in their numbers, surely a divine being must off created the place that we called Earth

Guys, stop discussing religion in this thread. Religion might be as silly as UFOs, but that doesn't make it the topic of this thread. Anyone discussing religion in this thread from now on will get a pretty big warning, be warned.

But kashmaster, I find it painful for people to still deny one of the most important biological theories science has ever produced, and I wouldn't mind giving you some links to some videos explaining how evolution is indeed a very viable theory without being too scientific (at least not without explanation). Feel free to PM me about this if you'd like, but keep it out of this thread.

You as well, Pokémaniac, discussions about this subject, whilst IMO pretty important, often lead to flame wars, bashing, hatred, division, ... Some people just can't handle subjects like these...
So, for the sake of everyone, please just stop, or take it to PM, 'kay, guys?

I certainly wouldnt become hateful to someone who had a different view thats just plain stupid :p

Also I dont need to see videos on Evelution, I have seen most, my teacher tries to do it to me, my mates try and now so are you :) It won't change my view

Also im not talking about religion im just talking about a subject you brought up please dont give me a warning :)
 
I'll be good Spoon. =P I tried to keep everything as unbias as possible in a subject I have bias, but I guess this just isn't the place.

So, back to UFOs- As I said before, I'm not settled on my opinion on UFOs, but I'm pretty sure there are aliens out there to drive them(even if they're not as advanced as us.).

Logically, it should be obvious that aliens exist. When there is infinante space, infaninte/1 chance that 1 galaxy will have life. You are very correct.
 
We could be the only planet with life. Scientists haven't actually met one clear eye yet but remember people like to pull pratical jokes. Its probably just a plane. We have no clear proof, no proof, no aliens. Think about the science we have now days, DNA tests, technology, if so we would of been able to figure it out.
 
I think a lot of people underestimate the distances involved when trying to study planets outside of our solar system. It's not just a case of pointing up a telescope and yelling "over there!", the techniques we have to use in order to gain any kind of information need to be extremely precise and expensive. So the "well we haven't found anything yet" argument is pretty silly in my book.

As for us being the only lifeforms in the Universe, well... in a Universe containing billions of galaxies, each containing billions of stars... if you can honestly believe that we are the only life forms in the Universe then I have nothing more to say. o_e
 
Well, I have a friend called Julian, that has a brother called Luciano, that has a friend, that this friend's dad saw two aliens, according to him.
 
And my nephew's best friend's mother's grandfather's aunt's friend's granddaughter's husband was abducted by aliens :O

You know that's not anywhere near a fact, right? Your friend's friend always says the dardnest things, you should know that by know.

No-one can proove that aliens dont exist, all we can say is that most people who claimed to have seen UFO are wacko strange mumbo jumbo luncatics who either made it up or actually belong in a psychiatric home.

I believe in Luciano, well...not.Here is other thing, my best friend's cousin's mother's neighbour's best friend's not biological nephew's enemy is an alien.
 
Is there a decent chance that there is SOMETHING alive out there? Yes.

Has it come to see us? Probably not.
 
If there was aliens, why would they come to see Earth or come by here any time soon? If they are as advanced as some say then there is no point them coming here for any reason and if they are not advanced then they cant come here so anyway there is a little opportunity for you to see an alien sadly :( The thing that I question is how would they look like?

No, never seen a UFO. Probably never will. I still believe in other life out there that we don't know about though.

The logistics of intersteller travel makes it difficultfor me to accept UFOs as aliens.
 
I don't think that aliens wouldn't of heard of our palnet or even galaxy if we haven't heard of their's... Anyways Aliens proabbly aren't smart enough >_>
