Bebe’s (Replace with Celio's Network), Roseanne’s, Pachirisu, Smeargle (possibly) are all good for first turn setup. TS-1 Evoluter For Drifblim or Furret, Ponyta and Vulpix evolve themselves. Azelf used for Prize Card retrieval. Number 1 Priority is to get Heatran LV.X on the bench since it eliminates discarding energy resulting from attacks. LV.X’s become available from: Furret (certainty), Azelf (if one is in the Prize Cards), Smeargle (if opponent has a Bebe’s), Level Max (with a favorable coin flip), Bebe’s (certainty), Looker’s (possibly). Main attackers Infernape LV.X (0 retreat cost + 100 damage), Rapidash (0 retreat cost + 60 damage to bench hazards), Ninetales (in a pinch when combined with Heatran LV.X’s Heat Metal). Feedback requested to make it faster, point out potential disasters, and use card pre BW.

Thanks.

I'm going to go ahead and move this to the new player forum, where it might get some more attention. You probably don't need so many energy, and you're going to want more Bebe's Search and Roseanne's Research. Since this is unlimited, why not use Celio's Network over Bebe's? Also, you're going to want some Uxie in there so you can draw cards.

I'd set up your list like 1-1 Drifblim. It's easier to read. Also, you may not be familiar with rotation. Right now, the format is hgss on. If your running unlimited, Celebi's right. Use celio's over bebes

Since LV.X are neither a basic nor an evolution Pokemon, Celio's Network cannot search for one. There are 10 cards that can search for basic Pokemon and 7 cards that can search for evolution Pokemon. I keep a lot of energy because my main attackers discard energy as a result of their attacks. It may be too much but I would rather have that than not enough.

Celebi23,
Uxie will be added, along with a couple Seekers to open up a bench spot and a couple Fisherman to compensate for less energy.

pokemonjoe,
Normally I do write them 1-1 Drifblim, but Vulpix, Ponyta and Heatran are specific basics. I listed the cards in this fashoin to keep continuity

Joe

Celio's Network received an errata to say search for "a Pokemon" and not "a Basic Pokemon or Evolution card." It can search for LV. X's.

I could not find Celio's Network in the errata section of the Compendium, however I did locate a Compendium interpretation, from previous cards with identical wording, ruling that: " a Basic Pokemon or Evolution card" = "any Pokemon". Does this ruling apply to any such wording prior to Diamond and Pearl?

I dislike any time I have to flip coins, there is no strategy to compensate for flipping tails, however, I feel Level Max is one effect worth the risk. Premier Ball is an excellent trainer on its' own merit, I don't know how I missed it.

I am still looking for situations I would be unable to defend against. For example: Machamp with Take Out against Infernape 4 and Heatran, Mewtwo LV.X's defenses against Infernape 4 and Heatran, etc.Basically, what would any of you use to counter this deck?

Joe

Every pre-DP card got that "errata." I suppose errata was poor word choice on my part. You are correct that the ruling applies to everything pre-DP.

To counter Machamp, try Unown G from Great Encounters.
