Virizion EX / Genesect EX

An extra 20 from Deoxys won't go really far. I think this deck works better without very many techs. The line I run is:
4 Virizion-EX
3 Genesect-EX
2 Bouffalant

It works well for me so far but testing is still being done. If Energy Switch is reprinted in Legendary Treasures or X/Y Base set at least 2 should be run. The only real tech I run is a couple Max Potion. You can G-Booster to one energy Genesect gets damaged then retreat if you don't have Sky Bridge out discard switch to Virizion and Max Potion Genesect and fuel him again with Emerald Slash but unless it seems to work really well I'm switching it for Energy Switch if it's reprinted

I'm not feeling the Bouffalant... Requires DCE's not to mention is 1-Shoted by so much... I'd rather run Tropius.

I use a Genesect as a tech for Safeguard and Klingklang, although I haven't played this deck against those. Starting out with it against EX decks isn't a problem either because you can just Call for Family. Tornadus EX PF also has been working pretty good, as Colress Machine powers it up quite fast, and Emerald Slash can help get it to the energy requirement. With 2 plasma energies, it's doing 120 with Jet Blast, which is pretty decent. I'm not sure if more than 2 Virizion EXs are necessary, though.

Tropius isn't one hit KO'ed easily? I might try it.

It is however it doesn't take as many turns to power up...

G-Booster hits through PlasmaKlang...

Good point. G-Booster goes through everything including PlasmKlang and Safeguard

Yes however you have to remember that it can be scrappered away... Sure you can Triad it back but it takes up your supporter for a turn.

Well the best idea is to play it as close to when you need to as you can so it doesn't get scrapped.

Yes... A However as some point in the game it will always get scrappered. Therefore you must use it in the best way possible. Against PlasmaKlang the best way to achieve this would be to catcher and G-Booster the PlasmaKlang.

Well I don't think PlasmaKlang is really used anymore. Against TDK it's best to kill Kyurems and Keldeos as fast as possible. In mirror match Genesect's obviously.

Right you are correct... PlasmaKlang isn't seeing a lot of play. However there will be the occasional one.
TDK: Kyurems and Deoxys (or wherever the energy are... No one runs Keldeo)
Mirror: Genesect
Blastoise: BKEX you already 1-shot everything else.

I think people run Keldeo so they can rush in/retreat to reset Blizzard Burn...

Keldeo takes up bench space and can get catcher killed... You can reset Blizzard Burn in better ways such as:
Float Stone and Switch
Switch and retreat

Keldeo isn't worth the bench space... Not to mention will get scrappered.

Good point. This is a Genesect/Virizion discussion though so back to that. I think I'm going to try running straight Genesect/Virizion and no other pokemon.

I would agree that straight VirGen is probably the best VirGen however Tropius is solid too.

I honestly haven't tested Tropius so I can't say how good it is.

Test both of them... Honestly T1 Emeral Slash>T1 Tropius

I currently don't run Badge Machine engine because the chance of getting Virizion AND Genesect AND Plasma Badge AND Colress Machine AND Grass is pretty slim. I'm not good at deck building though and my friend's going to help me out with it and he thinks I should run Badge Machine.

Post your list here ill be happy to help... Also the chance of getting a T1 Emerald Slash is better than getting a turn 2 night spear.
