1x Luxury Ball
3x Rare Candy
2x Professor Oak's New Theory
2x Poke Turn
2x SP Radar

Energy (11)

9x Water Energy
2x Double Colorless Energy

Strategy
the idea is to start off with Sableye and impersonate for Cyrus's Conspiracy and get a Pokemon Collector, SP Radar, and a water energy. 2nd turn use the pokemon Collector and get a Uxie, Unown Q, and a Squirtle play them and then impersonate for what ever I need. and when i get Blastoise fully loaded start sniping for 100 and use Floatzel UL to reattach water energies every turn and Floatzel GL to get back anything that's knocked out and Crobat G is for a little more damage, uxie and PONT for set up, SP Radar to search out Floatzel GL X. please comment

Ive played this and found that you will be more tempted to snipe off benchies for easy prizes. Crobat G never helped me do much of that, but if you like it, as I do, then keep it in there for sure. But I'd find a spot for some Seekers and a Level Max.

Maybe..

-1 Uxie
-1 Bebe's
-2 Copycat

+2 Seeker
+1 Level Max (or maybe Ebelt)
+1 Warp energy (or a 3rd Seeker)

The Seeker can be sick here because if they find themselves in a position with only two pokemon out, there is a likely chance you can snatch a win. Have fun!

In addition to the 2 Seeker, I'd recommend running some DCE in the deck so you can get Blastoise attacking a lot faster mid-game. (Early game you shouldn't need to worry too much, but if you want some Seeker-donking, you'll need some DCE.) 2 or 3 DCE should be fine.

@Drewdwn: Seeing as this deck is built around sniping, I would recommend running 0 Expert Belt. I have run this deck before and it's got an excellent track record sniping the bench. It doesn't need any Belts (in fact, Belts hurt this deck more).

I actually completely agree. It was a total afterthought with the maybe an Ebelt part. PLUS I completely overlooked the lack of DCE. Its a staple in this deck.

I ran this deck not too long ago and it can work extremely well, but if you're running a 1-1 line then you NEED Azelf. Also, Uxie Lv. X would be good if you can get it. E-belt at one also isn't a bad idea, in a case where you absolutely have to KO their main attacker. Another thing is, watch out for Mesprit. I don't know what you can do against that, but it absolutely cripples this deck. You can only attack once every two turns, and they're most likely going to be able to two-shot you.

@ festizzio.. Floatazel ul is like a mini gatr prime and is just a stage 1. It lets you attach an energy onto it with it's poke-power. So keeping in mind blastiose's poke-power, you can re-attach the 2 water needed for blastoise :)

He knows that and I know that too...
Another thing is, watch out for Mesprit.
...he's saying that Mesprit will just stop you solid for a full turn. And if they keep dropping more it's even worse. A Mesprit drop will basically stop you from attacking for a full turn while they 2HKO your Blastoise.

Okay take out - 3 water energy + 3 double collerless energy - 2 copy catt + 2 proffesor oaks new theory.

This will make this deck faster with the dce and with out trainer locking you dont know how many cards will be in your oppoents hand so i would take out copy catt.

i heard about this being good for beginners with blastoises pokemon power its easy to learn

I think I will try doing this
-1 uxie
-1 bebe's
-2 copycat
-2 water

+2 dce
+1-1 Floatzel GL
+2 seekers
and I don't have access to a uxie X

This question is for anyone: Why would you run Floatzel instead of Gatr?

Seems to me it will take longer too get the energy out, if he is knocked out by damage counters instead of attack you lose the energy and floatzel can be easily sniped.

If you do run this though, I would think 4 Tombs would work better then Sableye. Just gives you so much time to get set up, while slowing your opponent down. As it is in your game plan you wont be attacking until turn three.

my guess is that they have flotazel, but not gatr prime. The card values are VERY different. Then again gatr prime is also available as a tin promo.. But my guess is that there is no access to one without spending money.

"Why would you run Floatzel instead of Gatr?"
the answer is that Floatzel poke-power allows you to attach an energy to it's self then you use Blastoise poke-power to move the water energy from Floatzel to your active Blastoise so you do this every turn to snipe for 100 damage
if Floatzel gets sniped you use Floatzel GL poke-body to get it from the discard pile and play it down again
I run Sableye because I can impersonate for Cyrus's Conspiracy and get a Pokemon Collector, SP Radar, and a water energy then the next turn I can start building my pokemon lines. and thanks for posting

This question is for anyone: Why would you run Floatzel instead of Gatr?
It's if you prefer to get setup faster. As you know, Gater Prime is a Stage 2, and thus, is a lot harder to get out than Floatzel who is a stage 1. You're getting the exact same thing with Floatzel (attach for turn, Water Accel, Wash Out) as you are with Gater. Plus, Floatzel has free retreat, which is nice in case a Blastoise gets KO'd.

Strictly speaking Gater Prime is probably better, but Floatzel takes up less space in a deck.

Yeah I used to run a blastgatr, was my first deck. Really noob friendly and easy to run
Originally I started out with Blastoise / Floatzel. Then got a lucky booster pull and got my first feraligatr prime and put that in instead. Now I run 2 feral prime, and 3 blastoise works well for me but I don't use my blastgatr deck to much anymore

Something I was thinking the other day while at work was Blastoise / Feraligatr and also running an onix (with the heal for each energy attached) and the starmie /staryu (HGSS)
That way EVERY turn you get +20hp back when you re-attach onto blastoise, also you can use starmie's attack to remove all your energys an do 20dam for each energy you remove which could be quite abit of damage depending on how many you take off, downside is that you have to put them back into deck, but any blastoise deck should be running interviewers IMO and then you can use that, get energy back and heal blastoise as you re-attach them all again, But that could be quite risky, was just an idea I was gonna run next week at my local

Onyx was errated and only works on himself. If you want healing may i suggest dawns stadium. It allows u to take off damage for each water energy you play.

Also great one i really dont see how u can impersonate turn one, then collector turn two then impersonate again. Anything important you have benched will surely be gone by then. If you want to set up a blastoise, floatzel, and floatzel gl lvl x you really are going to have to build with spiritomb.

Usually in today's format there are 2 routes to take in competetive evolution decks. Which are fast and slow.

If your going for a slow approach: +Full lines unless playing rare candy
+Usually Spiritomb
+Broken Time Space Is Basically An Evolution Staple Unless there is a specific reason

For a Fast: +Rare Candy
+Brokent Time Space
+Often you skip stage 1 a little like a 3-1-3 or 3-2-3 without azelf
