Also, why did Cinesra take so long to reveal this information, if he wasn't a seer for the rest of the game, what's the risk?

whoa what just happened

New Vote Count:

Cinesra: 3
No Lynch: 6
TheGuy: 19

People, PLEASE remember that you voted. Puff didn't unvote and I had to go recount, and I'm not sure about Teapot. Don't make me keep tabs on every time you voted, and then forbid you from voting if you don't unvote.

Game freeze; no one post. Let me set up the night update.

Thanks, Glace, for posting. Now I don't have to wait another hour to post the night update :D

End of Day 1

The townspeople were bickering amongst themselves on who best to go after. Someone decided they should play the waiting game and not kill anyone yet - innocent until proven guilty, right? Others shouted out other ideas on who they deemed the most suspicious.

All this yammering ceased to an immediate halt when Cinesra came out of the crowd with his bold proclamation. "Guys, I was playing poker with PMJ, Comforteagle, and TheGuy. I found out something interesting...first, we can trust PMJ and Comforteagle; they're both on our side. As for TheGuy...he's not one of us, nor is he a vigilante."

"What!?" they all yelled. "A foreigner! Kill him!"

"Kill me?" he struck back. "You really think that killing me will help you guys get rid of the vigilantes? You're all a bunch of fools; you're wasting your time."

Foolish or not, they all decided that TheGuy would be the first to die. They all rushed off like an angry mob, frenzied to get rid of this stranger from their midst once and for all. One of them got out his trusty 9mm handgun and shot TheGuy right in the heart.

...Except he didn't die. He flinched a little, but he just got back up on his feet and brushed himself off, acting like nothing had happened.

"I told you that you're wasting your time," he re-iterated. "You should spend less time trying to kill those you deem strange, and more time trying to actually find the vigilantes. I've had enough of this. I'm going home."

And with a turn of his boot, TheGuy simply walked off and retired to his room. Murmurs spread out from among the entire crowd, all of them asking various questions, but the one on everyone's mind was this: How did he survive a bullet to the heart?

Night 1 is going to end Friday, July 6th, at 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time. Those of you who have night roles, please PM them to me for use.
And remember, no posting during the night.

Edit: Someone (actually, 4 people) pointed out to me that I wrote down that dmaster played the poker game with Cinesra, instead of PMJ. That was an oversight on my part. It has been fixed; it says PMJ now.

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

I'm still missing night role data for a few of you. Please be sure to turn it in to me before Friday is over.

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

Okay, I'm going to post the next day update, and then I will send out response PMs to any of you guys that used night roles.
By the way, I would like each of you to post at least once during the day to let me know you're still in the game (and if there's a lynch before you get a chance, PM me letting me know). I was very close to replacing a few people.

Anyway, here's what happened.

Start of Day 2

That night was a very worrying night for many of the townsfolk. They'd wasted their lynch on someone who couldn't die, and now they knew the vigilantes would kill one of their own and they'd be powerless to stop it.

One guy was up late, though...he was in his room fiddling with a good luck charm of his, a 6-sided die. "Let's see what luck has in store for me..." he mumbled, and rolled the die with a flourish of his hand. It came up as a '6'. "Hmm, looks like good fortune is smiling on me."

The vigilantes weren't going after him; they didn't want to waste time. One of them stealthily snuck into the house of dmaster, and before leaving finished him off with a single bullet to the skull, killing him instantly.

dmaster was:

The Sheriff
Alignment: Dusty Gulch

You are the sheriff, the main authority figurehead in this town. Having heard about the arrival of the vigilantes, you are bound and determined to be rid of them forever.

Ability : Only Law West of the Pecos
Use : Always on.
Your vote counts as 2 votes for the purposes of lynching.

Ability : Authority
Use : Once per game.
If you are voted to be lynched during the day, you may use this ability. You are not lynched, and instead, the first person to have voted for you will be killed. At that time, your entire role will be quoted and revealed (by me) in the topic.

Ability : Police Force
Use : Always on.
You have a police force that you can communicate with at will (mason group). Their names will be given to you in a separate PM.

Win Condition: All threats to Dusty Gulch removed

When everyone woke up, they found dmaster's body still in his bed, blood oozing from a deep wound in his skull. In addition to that, someone had apparently posted another note, same handwriting as the last one: "Sometimes one must die for others to survive." With the loss of their sheriff so early into this assault, what would happen next?

Wow, dmaster dying night 1. Sounds like me in WW10 when I had the captain role. dmaster, I feel your pain.

Day 2 is going to end Friday, July 13th, at 11.59 PM Pacific Daylight Time. There are 31 players still alive, so 16 votes are required to end the day.

And you guys already lost the sheriff, so get to work.

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

So it appears that there is more than one person in the Police Force. Because dmaster's role didn't say anything about being able to check alignments, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the other members of the Police Force has this ability.

As to why dmaster was chosen, either the wolves get lucky to get him out without giving him a chance to use his ability or someone can communicate with the wolves and Police Force and betrayed the town.

nnooooo dmaster nooooooooooooooo

You're kidding me. You've got to be kidding me. >.<#

TheGuy, if we knew what you meant when you said lynching you is like a no lynch, we wouldn't have done it!

Also, another note. And this one is even more vague. Excellent. -_-

What he said.
This is so unfair. ;_;

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

I think the note is referring to dmaster's death.

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

How is that possible? The only way the note giver would know dmaster was going to die would be if they were a wolf too, in which case they would hardly be telling the town the reason for killing dmaster, if that is what the note is supposed to mean...

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

Okay.... Well, drat. No lynch and an important townie lost :( Sooooo, we know that PMJ and TDL are Town, because DNA's post confirms that Cinesra isn't lying about his "Poker" role (although he could be lying about the results of the role). I can't think of anyone that looks extremly suspicious as of yet, but we have a whole week. We can wait and see what everyone says. We need to lynch a wolf today, guys. Let's go!

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Either that or the wolves can scout town roles, but that might be a bit too overpowered to be a possibility.

Yeah it seems like it does, but that might just be to throw us off.

Idiot. Why didn't you shoot him in the head?

Idiot. Why didn't our sheriff have better reflexes?

Sorry, no more useless questioning.

Is there any significance in this specificness? Standard dies are 6-sided; why not just say "a good luck charm of his, a die"?

DNA plays D&D, I guess?

RE: Werewolf XIII - Gunfire at Dusty Gulch - Night 1 ends Friday, July 6th, 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time

Because when people have dice as good luck charms, they usually have a lot more than six sides.

I'm still reading the new posts and certain other parts of the thread, but I will post a response soon.

If someone on this police force was a traitor, wouldn't it make more sense to kill the one with the seer role? I'm just guessing they killed dmaster because he's like one of the towns most experienced players.

Also, I'm now pretty sure the note leaver is 100% crap and we shouldn't listen to anything he says.

Argetlam seems a little suspicious to me in his posts, I'd like him to provide a general defense as to what he was doing last night.
