It has been brought to my attention that people have been editing their posts. I know that there was most likely no harm done (typos, etc.), but DNA and I need to enforce this. The following people edited their posts during Day 2, and are receiving warnings:

If you two edit again, you will be replaced. Sorry for the harshness of this rule, but we have to be strict.

Hi guys; just a friendly reminder for whoever has a night role to use it. I'll be posting the next day update tomorrow morning and I will replace inactives if need be.
There are plenty of people who want to be in the game, and if you aren't devoted enough to stick with it, I will gladly remove you.

ESP will be replacing 9Tailz, from this point onward. ESP, I will be sending you information about your role shortly.

And for the rest of you, I am going to post the next day update, and THEN I'll respond to all your night role data.


Night 2

The night went by rather slowly for Dusty Gulch, all of them having worries in their heads about what was going to happen next.

Right after the sun went down, Chariblaze awoke with a start and got an idea. "I've got relatives I need to visit," he thought, and grabbed his horse and rode out of town under cover of darkness.

Then someone snuck into PMJ's room and shot him with a tranquilizer dart, then left. Dunno why.

Meanwhile, King Arceus was wandering around town when he was walking down a dark alley. (Not the best idea, but hey, it's his idea.) He ran into some shady individual who said "Hey...you wanna buy some opium? Imported straight from China and it's cheap too!"
King Arceus responded, "No, I'm not interested."
"Tell you what - the first bit is free. I won't include very much either."
"Oh, all right."

So this strange person gave King Arceus a small supply of opium, and then King Arceus started walking back to his house, going back the way he came. When he stepped out of the dark alley, someone hiding inside a barrel noticed King Arceus carrying opium, then freaked out at the sight of it and shot him dead.

King Arceus was:

The Lovestruck Girl
Alignment: Dusty Gulch

You're just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. When the vigilantes came to town, you fell instantly in love with him, and he with you. Of course, you can't tell anyone you've fallen for such a bad boy, but maybe the two of you can escape this conflict together...?

Ability : Lovers
Use : Always on.
There is a man in the town with whom you are head over heels in love with. His name will be given to you in a separate PM (mason group). You cannot share this person's name with anyone.

Ability : Heartbreak
Use : Automatic.
If your partner is lynched, the first person to vote for him will be killed by you at the start of the next day. If your partner is killed in some other fashion, you will commit suicide.

Win condition: All threats to Dusty Gulch removed
Alternate Win condition: You and your lover must survive until the end of Night 6. If you do, you will both be declared winners, and removed for the remainder of this game.


Someone saw King Arceus die in the street, and in a fit of sorrow decided to commit suicide. It was Dark Void.

Dark Void was:

The Lovestruck Man
Alignment: Vigilantes

You are the generic romantic of the group. You don't let your emotions be seen by many people on the surface, but there is one woman in the town whom you have affections for. You know you have to take out the townsfolk one by one, but if only there was some way to keep her alive...!

Ability : Lovers
Use : Always on.
There is a girl in the town with whom you are head over heels in love with. Her name will be given to you in a separate PM (mason group). You cannot share this person's name with anyone.

Ability : Heartbreak
Use : Automatic.
If your partner is lynched, the first person to vote for her will be killed by you at the start of the next day. If your partner is killed in some other fashion, you will commit suicide.

Ability : Secret Hideout
Use : Always on.
You have free access to the Vigilante's Hideout, and can use it to communicate at will with your team.

Win condition: Vigilantes must match, or exceed, the remaining number of players
Alternate Win condition: You and your lover must survive until the end of Night 6. If you do, you will both be declared winners, and removed for the remainder of this game.


In the meantime, one of the wolves decided to sneak into Meaty's house and kill him, to keep with Werewolf tradition.

Meaty was:

The Piano Player
Alignment: Dusty Gulch

Every good saloon needs a good piano player...and guess what, you're it. You're good at tickling the ivory, having practiced it for many years, and you also help to keep the atmosphere calm.

Ability : This Song Goes Out to All of You
The number of votes required for you to be lynched is 2 more than normal. (When tallies are posted, 2 of the votes won't count.)

Win condition: All threats to Dusty Gulch removed

Looks like you guys got one of the vigilantes! but only by a role side effect. And you lost two townies as well. Was it worth it?



Day 3 ends Friday July 20th, at 11.59pm Pacific Daylight Time (UTC -7). There are currently 27 people alive, so 14 votes are required to end the day.

Why Dark Void? He was killed (I assume) unintentionally.

Dark Void was a wolf, wolves don't want each other killed, so Dark Void would not advocate for a wolf to be lynched. If Dark Void accused someone that person is most likely not a wolf, if he defended someone it is more likely that they are a wolf.

DNA confirmed I have no such restrictions.

I never finished my reads list. Dark Void wasn't on it.

So we have werewolves now. Interesting turn of events, last night.

So we have werewolves now. Interesting turn of events, last night.
Did I write 'werewolf'? Sorry, force of habit. There are not actually werewolves in this game - just vigilantes.

I'm sorta confused. Why did DV die alongside KA?

Also, was that the mason group because I see something about masons in there? If so, why didn't all the masons die? idgi.

KA and DV were Lovers.

Lover is a role where if one person dies, the other does, too. Typically, their win condition is to be the last two people in the game.

DNA redundantly referred to them as masons because Lovers by default know who the other Lover is. Callnig them masons is also misleading because masons are always Town. If one of the masons is scum, they're Neighbors, not Masons.

Also, I'm not familiar with any role that forces all the masons to suicide if one of them died. That would be... pretty sucky.

Calling them masons is also misleading because masons are always Town. If one of the masons is scum, they're Neighbors, not Masons.
Same difference :p
It was also the only term I really knew as I don't peruse sites for Werewolf terminology.

So, we know that King Arceus was killed by a indie (most likely someone with a drug cop role or something), because Dark Void would have told the wolves that if KA died, he would also die. Hmmmm. It also looks like there is some other indie role that can sell a player drugs, in the hope that they get killed by the drug cop. What do you guys think?

I just noticed that superpokemon67 is away at a conference somewhere according to his profile.
So I'm going to replace 9Tailz with ESP instead. superpokemon67 will get the next replacement.

ESP, stay tuned about your role.
