RE: Werewolf XVI: A New Melee. Day 9 ends eventually
Ok, I will analyze all players:
Luckyfire's role:
At this point obviously true / town. Yay this was easy.
Starboard Driger's role:
The flavour text is pretty short, and if it's legit it's pretty "poor" compared to the most flavour texts, but it manages to feel believeable to me, while also explaining why the ability works the way it does.
If the role is fake then the wolves at least managed to fake a creative (although bad) ability I guess. I mean, starting at night 8 a it's a great scout, but chances are the player never gets there, and a real scout would have had the chance to scout 7 people before that... It's definitely not impossible to fake such a role, but I could see the wolves going for more simple fake abilities. (If SD is a wolf, I believe that the ability is 100% made up and has nothing to do with his real abilities.) I see no real reason to suspect him based on Hidden Power.
His Final Smash seems really good, and if activated earlygame it could break the game as it is a lot more likely that a townie will get the Smash Ball than a wolf/indie. If SD is a wolf the FS probably is the same, but for wolves. That ability seems more likely to be in the game. Still, it's definitely not
so broken that I couldn't believe it.
As for his behaviour, I think it has been pretty pro-town most of the time.
All in all, I will believe in him for now.
RaichuGirl's role:
The flavour text is pretty long and I think it's funny and something PMJ could definitely come up with. However, what appears weird to me is that "basically" was used twice in it:
You basically got put in this game because the developers decided they didn't like Mewtwo, therefore they stuck you in with basically all the same attacks.
It might also just be a way tho emphasize... something? Or to add a certain kind of flow. Not sure. Still sounds a bit weird to me, but it's not a huge deal.
The abilities seem believeable. "Problem, Mewtwo?" is funny and fits well with the role. If she claims "Double Team" she probably also has it. It is worth noting that it could still be a wolf ability, renamed. Pretty sure both townies and wolves could have such an ability, cause why not? Still, I don't see a reason to suspect her based on these.
The Final Smash seems weird. She will learn the abilities of the last to players... she voted for? Chances are, that those two players are dead (and when used at night she can't change the votes), and the FS is
completely useless. That's pretty... underwhelming for a FS. On the other hand, if she breaks the Smash Ball at day, she could just go and vote for two suspicious players, and then activate the FS. So it would be a double scout and she would get trust, which is pretty good. Kinda situational I guess. All in all, the FS seems a bit weird but I can't say it's impossible that it's a real FS.
As for her behaviour I feel that she has been pretty pro-town most of the time. What I especially remember for some reason is as she admitted to holding a Dragoon part right away, which just felt pretty townlike to me.
All in all, I will believe in her for now.
Sorry, but this is really tiring and I can't do more today (when I post this it's 3:38 AM...).
My summerized thoughts about the rest right now:
- MtC and boss have hit me as somewhat scummy acting until now. Nobody would normally think that claimed masons are scum but nothing can prove that they are town for sure. I'd wouldn't even doubt them, though, if they had acted more pro-town, but really I can't say they have.
- Porygon/DV also seem like a possible scum pair, with the Zelda theme going on and they seem to have something to do with each other but nothing to do with Link.
For now I would suggest boss/MtC. If one of them flips town and what they claimed, we at least have a confirmed townie (well if they survive the night that is). In that case Porygon and DV should really role reveal D10, though.
