Is D1 always so full of drama? I've lurked* a lot, only because I'm new and don't really know what to look after and I don't want to throw accusations on my first post, like certain other players.

*Lurking is when you read but don't post right?
D1 is sooooo much fun! So... what to look for. Think about what you would do as scum, and see if you can find anyone doing something like that. Then voice the idea and let it go from there. Also look for things that people say that makes you feel like they support the mafia and/or things that you don't understand how any inno would say that.

Yes, that is a pretty good description of lurking. It is also defined in the WW Master Doc if you find the interesting.

Yay for D1 shenanigans~ Is it just me or was Camo less spammy than usual? Just as blunt and all over the place, of course, but in a fewer number of posts it felt like to me. Willing to give Lucktini a pass; I highly doubt a newbie would post a star witness fake claim. Yeowie was giving me some pings with his indie-related stuff earlier in the game, but it's so hard to read newbies, especially when they're actually new to the game and not just the community. JoshB, funnily enough, gets a bit of inno cred for his outbursts because I find that kind of thing generally tends to happen as a townie more than a mafian. I'd actually be tempted to vote Celever simply for not doing something scummy yet, as seems to be his typical D1 inno play, but since that's a half-joke, and we really need to stick together in votes in order to actually lynch someone, I'll hold off on that for now.

I guess I don't really have a whole lot to add right now, just wanted to put my two cents in after spending 45 minutes reading up on everything that's happened.

What exactly is this Star Witness thing? Are they like more special or something?

Scum's win condition isn't to outnumber the town; they simply need to kill all Star Witnesses. In other words, it doesn't matter if there's one scum and fifteen town left, as long as all Witnesses are dead it's gg.

Which is why that claim is so bad.

Oh. I see - that is bad. Yeah, uh, don't reveal if you're a Star Witness.

JoshB is the best lynch right now. I read back. Here are a couple of new points against him:
  1. He jumps on literally every wagon but his own.
  2. He never shows doubt
  3. He is a new player who acts like they are a veteran
  4. He doesn't feed like a new townie

As I've already mentioned before, it's highly unlikely that a safe claim is a Star Witness. Not impossible, but unlikely, as it's close to broken. With the Star Witnesses being so important, they are a pretty powerful safe claim for scum, and just serving this to them in a golden plate is bad. It's not like other claims when we can take a risk more light-heartedly. Mislynching a Star Witness puts us at a bad spot. Again, it's not impossible that a safe claim is a Star Witness, but I'll hunt down PMJ if he did something like that.

Not really. Assume we have a lot of them. I'm sure they have at least one Star Witness safe claim.

I'm actually completely serious about this. Keep an eye on him.

Even with mafia safe claims, they could always add a star witness line to the end of their flavor for added effect. After all, we have a direct statement from PMJ saying that all the star witness lines are slightly different depending on the role being described.

At work and on my phone at the moment, so I'll respond to some of the other messages once I finish for the day.

Im with TT and Camo. A star witness safe claim, even if not provided by PMJ would make perfect sense! At first glance we have no reason to attempt to lynch a star witness... As the game progresses we obviously keep an eye on Luctini (he's the one who claimed right?)

Im going to read back the pages now... Be back later/ tomorrow, if i don't fall asleep now :p
