What deck do you think will win Worlds 2009?

^Didn't you hear? The mods took out a whole bunch of things and is going to replace things with stuff like Juniors Mods. The Strategists and Experts were made into the Strategists, and they took out the Verified Sellers. Much more. Doesn't anyone look at the Hierchy Thread every now and again?

More ideals have changed now. Instead of an SP variant for Masters, I'm starting to think about Legoes or LuxApe.

No I do not look there.^

Everyone is saying that mostly a SP deck would win Masters.

I highly doubt it^, unfortunately. I want Speedrill to win the division, but Machamp is more likely going to win. x_x

dmaster out.

I hope not. There is a kid at league who came in second because he was donked in the final match at Nationals, so I hope he can beat that deck and win Worlds.
He is really speedy with that deck too. T2 three or all four Beedrill out. Hope he can do that at worlds.
His name is Austin Hanna, in case you are wondering.

Wth? If you don't go there, you're the devil. :] Seriously though. Do check it out.

Yeah, I have my wishes:

Juniors - Speedrill/Machamp
Seniors - Mother Gengar/Legos
Masters - Luxape/Legos

Top two in all divisions I guess.

dmaster out.

I actually wouldn't be surprised to see a really good Junior t2 with Legos. That deck just mashes anyone who's unprepared for it in the right hands. TBH I don't think the Junior dev would know what hit it if a Junior played at a master level with Legos. :p

yea a junior with legos would be hilarious.
hed destroy all the machamp and beedrill they would play as long as they could have the skill to keep the opponent locked into submission

Legos beats Machamp and Beedrill almost every time. Beedrill is near ato win for Legos, as long as Legos doesn't get donked.

Legos > Beedrill, what do we say? Lost Cyclone FTW.

I bet some GeChamp variant would win Worlds for Seniors. lol

The only division here Gechamp has a chance is Juniors. Any skilled player can play around Gechamp...Unown ruins the deck, and that card is a staple. Not too mention that it isn't the most consistent deck around, and consistency is NEEDED in a big tournament like Worlds.

Here are my revised predictions:

Juniors: Machamp, Gengar, or Beedrill. Beedrill if Juniors catch on to it.
Seniors: Flygon, Gengar, or a good SP deck. (Luxape or Legos, possibly Gallade)
Masters: Luxape or Legos

I'd really love to see Gallade win in a division, but sadly I think it falls just a bit short. Who knows, though....a surprise deck almost always wins one division in Worlds.

My guess at who'll win Worlds this year is possibly;

Juniors - Speedrill or Machamp
Seniors - Mother Gengar or Legos
Masters - Luxape or possibly Legos

I used to play GeChamp it helped me a lot in tourneys. I want that deck to win one division.

^GeChamp is extremely inconsistant. If you can't get a good start, then you might as well say that it is game, set, and match. Most decks today can quickly get setup and ready to go to beat GeChamp before it really gets out.

A good GeChamp is fairly consistent. Not as good as SPs, Kingdra, Beedrill, etc. but still acceptable. A lot of SPs struggle a surprising amount vs. multiple Machamps. If GeChamp gets both out, then a lot of SPs lose, especially with a couple Gengar as well.

What I find interesting is that GeChamp vs. Mother Gengar (in consistency). You have Machamp Lv. X and 2 Fighting. That's pretty much the only difference. Yet Mother Gengar isn't considered so inconsistent.

GeChamp is a threat to a lot of decks. Legos is also. Well, I'm going to have to now go with Legos and GeChamp taking Seniors.

All of you have good points.^

Sometimes GeChamp is inconsistent. My experience with both Mother Gengar and GeChamp weren't too bad. They work most of the time when I use them in battles.
