Experience bars were a system where every post you made, or thread, you got a certain amount of experience. Eventually once you hit a certain number of experience the thing malfunctioned on you, and overall the system got abused much like the rep. Plus it was a stupid thing in the first place, and all the noobs were like OMG I NEED MORE EXPERIENCE!!!! So we did away with that, and to a lot of people's relief we haven't seen it since. If it were to come back we might want to rework how it operates.

As for deleting that button, completely up to Jon. I see no harm in deleting the quick post delete button, since you can always go to full edit and delete it using the check box, which is a safer feature. If this wouldn't work out I am sure we could figure something out if it maybe has a pop-up where it asks to make sure you want to delete it. But ya if Jon wants to delete it, it's in the Themes and Templates/Templates/Default Templates/Postbit Templates/Postbit/ then find this line:

PHP:
				<div class="post_management_buttons float_right">{$post['button_edit']}{$post['button_quickdelete']}{$post['button_quote']}{$post['button_multiquote']}{$post['button_report']}{$post['button_warn']}{$post['button_reply_pm']}{$post['button_replyall_pm']}{$post['button_forward_pm']}{$post['button_delete_pm']}

Removing {$post['button_quickdelete']}

Hope I helped you out a tad if anyone plans on getting rid of this. :/

That actually sounds like a good idea, I like it for some reason.

I think it is a very good, easy way of deleting posts. I see no point in getting rid of it. Anyway, there is a window asking you if you are sure you want to delete this post.

Nope. They didn't do anything much to people's beliefs. They were just decoration, and were in place of those userbars we have now. But the whole experience bar thing was a fail idea, and the plugin used to create it was incapable of getting past like level 40 I think it was. Which after that it just got screwed up and couldn't do anything.

Lets say a new member post something very inappropriate, and then deletes it, its a good way to avoid being warned which I don't like.

Well if you're posting something innapropriate.... you should be warned, or banned.

If you say, accidentally bump an extra time, you should easily be able to delete it via full edit before a mod sees. At the slim chance that you don't I'm sure the mod that warned you will understand, and revoke, as the post will of been deleted like 2 seconds after he/she saw it.

Ya honestly if we delete the quick delete button it's just going to be a bother for forum users. On a touch screen device it might be easier since you won't accidently delete it when going to edit. If it ends up getting deleted then you can always delete from Full Edit but it takes slightly longer.

Look at this:

Member 1:FDFDHD

Member 2:fdsgdfd

Member 1:idsofuofius

Now lets say member 2 deletes his post. Member 1 will be charged with a warning for spam or double post Idk.

Yeah I remember the big screw up the whole system became useless and the bars became an eyesore.

Omg why do you guys need to remove the delete button? What on earth are the chances that you'll accidentally press it anyway?

And what are the odds of you then accidentally hitting "Yes" in the pop up? And what if you want to delete a post, but there is no delete button?

Yeah we are debating about that but i like the delete post button and i dont want that it gets removed .SRSLY

You people are silly.

Talk about something else or face my wrath.

I don't remeber if mybb has this feature or not, but I know smf does. It allows you to have a "recycle forum." Any posts or threads that get deleted go there automatically. Its kind of nice to have sometimes so you have proof of what someone said.

Oh yes Mybb does and I know it's installed on the beach. Haha sorry I forgot about that feature. It's called "Trash Can Forum". Only mods can see it however.

Suggestion, in the Fake games/cards forum, can we get seperate subforums for games and cards? Call me what you will, but I'm fed up of my card thread being buried by "POKEMON ROCK PAPER SCISSORS - LOOKING FOR SPRITES ETCETCETC".

This way, ROCKPAPERSCISSORS and all the other games can have their own subforum, and all the card threads can have thier own subforum.

End result: less clutter for both sides.
