What HGSS: Undaunted card has the most potential to be the main star of a deck?

Combee is way too overhyped. You have THIRTY HP. This is a donk deck. You're relying on Shaymin to give it a boost. And you're also relying on Vespiquen to be on the bench and damaged. That means you autoloss against any deck with Luxray techs, and sadly, most decks do. Especially Luxchomp.

I'm looking at Espeon going into Gengar builds to set up spreads.

Togekiss gets put in all sorts of fun stall builds (I don't care about it being a Stage 2)

Vileplume: the champion of grass toolboxes everywhere. Could Vileplume, Sunflora and Jumpluff combined be enough to bring the Pluff build back to life?

Umbreon: is this a tech choice in dark builds?

Yeah we know it's no LuxChomp but I think it has potential. Your not supposed to use Landmin X your supposed to use Memory Berry+Vespiquen and Unown P. If you get the right start you can probably get it set up T1.

I was just waiting for someone to say its overhyped. I mean geeze. A few people discuss it maybe being good, and its all the sudden overhyped.

A luxray tech won't lose you the game. First they have to kill it since it would have 90 HP left. That means a different attack than flash impact. Secondly, Its really not that hard to get out another stage 1 with a damage on it. I mean, what deck can't get out a stage 1 every turn? Donphan has no problem with that.

Combparing vespiquen + memory berry to gyrados, I think vespiquen has the edge. It can do more damage, and I think is a ton easier to set up. Its also less fragile on the recovery since it can't be trainer locked. And its not weak to luxray. Its weak to chairzard, but charizard would OHKO it anyway. And you can use shaymin for even more HP than Gyarados. It may not be luxchomp fast, but I think it has serious potential.

Combee? Overhyped? I haven't seen anyone hyping it up, the most overhyped card in this set bar-none is Vileplume but I am still curious to see how it preforms.

Most importantly Combee is dispensable, similar to Jumpluff. It gets killed, then you can rather effortlessly bring out another one. Landmin X is only necessary for longer games, otherwise there's no reason why you can't set up a Stage 1 by T1 or T2 latest and dealing 90 every turn.

I expect total failure. Stage 2 techs almost never catch on because they're so hard to get out. The only two exceptions I can think of are dusknoir DP and nidoqueen RR. Both of those only help you. Vileplume hurts you as much as them in some cases. Sure, you've built your deck knowing you're going to lock trainers, so you don't have many in your deck, but that in and of itself is a limitation you've imposed on yourself because you're using it.

Possibly Vileplume, Scizor Prime, Umbreon, Leafeon, and maybe Combee/Vespiquen/Memory Berry/Rainbow Energy/Shaymin LV.X. That would be interesting..... :p
