ha: Sap Sipper Due to its tusks growing much more impressive through evolution, it loses its trunk entirely. Despite its large appearance, it's actually a speedy Pokemon.
So here is a mock Pokedex. If Blob55 is okay with it (this thread was his idea), I will make another thread for it. I decided to use my layout (with some modifications) and gen 6 sprites for consistency. A lot of Pokémon have missing information, so please post the missing info If you created the line. If a pokemon has no information, then I'll make the name its normal name and make everything else ???. Also, I'm not sure what to do with Pokémon that have been used twice, so I just omitted them.

I'll add more soon! Remember to post more info about your Pokémon so I can record it in our "Beach Dex".
For 11, 12, and 13, I'm thinking about using my Caterpie->Metapod->Mothern, then for 14,15, and 16 Blob55's Spearow, Fearow, and Ho-Row (lol). 17, 18, and 19 would be Leaf Ranger's Budew->Bellosom->Lilligant, then 20 and 21 Steffenka's Lilipup and Arcanine. Any other ideas?

The problem with making Tropius dragon, is it's clearly gliding in it XY animation.
BTW, instead of Caterpie -> Metapod -> Mothim, how about Caterpie -> Metapod -> Megamoth (Venomoth)?
I also think all Pokémon with mega evolutions, which aren't already part of a three-stage family should be the regular evolutions of said Pokémon. After all, why is Ambipom not Mega Aipom? It has the same differences as Mega Mawile, as they both have two of their most distinguishing features from their base forms.
Plus, Mega Evolutions should have gender differences, as most are just based on the male versions, like how Mega Alakazam has a long moustache and Mega Venusaur has no visible pollen.
Added names and abilities to the starters
The rest of the names will come later, since I'm going to London in about 20 minutes, so I can't add them at the moment
So, let me just ask... What on earth is going on here?
Not that I don't love fakemons, mods, hackmons, ect. But... It's a little confusing.
Essentially, you're using the real names of Pokémon... Until they evolve into something they otherwise wouldn't?
Why do Bagon and Shelgon have the right names, but Gigalith has a made-up name?
I ask because I'm intrigued. Quite a few people have posted without made-up names, pointing out that such-and-such Pokémon could evolve into such-and-such other Pokémon, and those are kind of cool (especially like Luvdisc > Gorebyss, even if Alomomola is a copy of Luvdisc... Branch evo would be cool there, actually). But the random names just seem out of place.
(Like, I totally love Pansear > Vigoroth > Infernape, but why Squirtle > Wartotle > ...Tortofence?)
I actually think we shouldn't use main series starters for the starters of this fakedex.
I mean... we've got so much potential and we're just gonna use regular starters, that seems a bit... dull.
Hell, we could do something different and use a different type triangle altogether. (and before anyone mentions it, Dark/Fighting/Psychic would NOT fit, as Dark is immune to Psychic, plus pretty much every fakemon creator has made a starter line with the final forms having those as secondary types)
Something like Rock/Fighting/Flying would be different and interesting. and definitely give the fighting one /fire when it evolves
I think Blob's Xeerling line might be a good option for a Grass starter... no idea about the other two... I thought that my Embird line may have had starter potential but I can't really think of a suitable middle stage.
I think that there could be a bit more creativity on names... I think that the names could be original, as opposed to name-of-existing-mon-with-one-letter-change.
They don't need to be long or clever or anything... hell, they could even just be a simple portmanteau of 2 fitting words.
So, let me just ask... What on earth is going on here?

For me, I just love being creative and adding new names to pokemon that I feel should change their names. Mawile->Mega Mawile doesn't make any sense name wise. Mawile->Douwile makes sense. Also, most names are just placeholders because the people who posted the ideas didn't put names.

I agree with you on this, as I made a line where Mawile evolves into "Douwile".
IMO, we should keep the Grass/Fire/Water triangle. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Plus, Fighting, Flying, and Rock are the starter's secondary types.
I think the starters should be totally different... we could use pretty much anything and we're using Pokemon that are main series starters... it just seems a bit lazy.
Its not the end of the world if they stay... I just think that the whole thing about this thread with us being able to be creative, re-using the same starters seems reductive.
