Still, Donphan is too small to be considered to elephant.

Your taking a video game way to seriously. Your judging each pokemon by what their based on down to the smallest detail. How boring would the game be if we actually caught a pokemon that resembled their real life counterparts in every way?

We're discussing what pokemon are based on, which means that the creators had that particular, animal/legend/plant/oobject in mind when they created.
It's better to have donphan small, I mean, an you imagine if it was a real elephant's size and used rollout?

EDIT: And how the heck did you think I thought Donphan was a donkey?! >_>

I'm just amazed that an Ant pokemon hasn't been done yet, because it's such an obvious choice. Better that than all these useless baby pokemon and generic bug/flying types.

What? I love griffins (Second to dragons)! Seriously, the only reason they didn't create such a thing was because it didn't exist in Japanese mythology! It could be Ground/Flying with a high attack/speed stat. Maybe a chibified version for cuteness :D.

I used to like Digimon, but their nonstop evolutions droze me crazy. Two stages are enough.
 
I'd like to see a Moloch (also known as a "Thorny Devil") Pokémon. Though it'd probably end up being another non-evolving Pokémon. xD

A Nintendo DS Pokémon would be interesting (maybe a Rotom Forme?), but it's very unlikely as it'd become outdated as the games move on to different platforms. (However, I suppose they could just keep making new ones, but that'd get pretty tiring, I think.)
 
How about more Pokemon based on actual Mythic creatures like the Jersey Devil, Chupacabra, Loch Ness Monster, Mothman, Mermaids, maybe more Alien Pokemon similiar to Deoxys...

What about a Pokemon associated with luck similiar to Ho-Oh?
