Pokemon What thrills you in pokemon?

Beating people with a lot more wins than me in random matchup or beating someone with a good strategy even if the wins arent so high

In TCG, I pretty much just like making rogue decks, making metagame decks, having tons of fun going aggro Eelectrick, and hanging out with friend at tournaments.

I personally love hanging with my fellow "Pokemon friends", the thrill of the battle and fun, and just meeting new people. I've got around 10+ friends who go to my league, but I haven't been in several weeks. No wonder I feel so crappy. Anyways, that's the reason I play Pokemon.

I never actually played pokemon competitively only a few times on Tinychat and Skype I might go in the future to prerelease events I just feel kinda embarrassed as I will have to go alone. My friends don't share the same opinion on pokemon which is sad :(.

What would you reccommend I go to first ? I have been in contact with someone who holds Prerelease event's his number is on my phone.

Go to a prerelease, or go to ...what? I know you're asking which choice to go to, but I only see you presenting one choice (the prerelease).

Sorry I was just stating If needed I had contact details for Prerelease's

I would like to know what would be the best sort of event to go to as my first.

Either a Prerelease or a Battle Roads (or a Cities) would be the best idea for a first event. All of those are relatively small (Cities can be sorta big, but not too big usually) so it's easy to get the feel for an event there. Prereleases cost $25 (because you're given all the materials to play; you don't take any of your own in save Energy/damage/stuff) and the others are free.

There should be prereleases for Dark Explorers coming up in the very near future, so if you can, try to go to one of those.

Completeing a team for a VGC tourney. Monthes of planning and training, then bam! All that effort you put in--the painstaking testing, the laborious breeding and at times even hours of SRing just for that one perfect pokemon--all equates to one thing better than completing a VGC team: having that team get you top three at a premier event. The thrills and joys it brings to see that your work wasn't in vain. Truly magnificent.

Top-cutting at events (especially when I get second or higher), pulling something really rare or exactly what I was looking for in a pack, making a great trade, and winning a close game are things that will do it for me. I've yet to find a shiny in a game, so don't know how I would feel if I did, but taking down the Elite Four/Champion for the first time or barely beating my frineds in VCG's also thrill me alot.

When I beat a Nuzlocke, pull awesome cards O: and smash EV'd pokemon with not EV'd pokemon.
Shiny encounter, TCG 2-0 win and doing well in tournaments

Pulling something incredibly awesome in a pack, mewtwo in particular.
Beating someone who topcuts in every tournament I've seen them in.

when i see the pokeball roll three times, i hold my breath, and sigh happily as i hear a click and see stars after a hard battle.

I often get thrilled when a fresh idea pops in my head and i want to make a deck around it.

What thrills me is when I beat a game, when I get a card I was hoping to get, or I guess if I were ever to catch a shiny. *HINT* *HINT* (I have never caught a shiny) :(
