Oh man I've been wanting to do this for a while....
Start wall of text.
Battle Cafe -- more like platinum less like hgss. lets think grand here, yeah I like battleing the gym leaders annnnd the random characters, but hell for a few more sprites we can battle ALL the gym leaders (theres a pretty big looking city in these scans, much much bigger then anything the games have ever illustrated to us before, so why wouldnt people from all over the pokeworld gather to do battle) , the professors *please oak in the manga was great*, the sidekick characters, the main characters, important story line folks (steven, bill, etc), old elite 4 and frontier brains (do not rehash the frontier brains, also they), and the team members (they need time off from evil to make there teams less full of fail and dont tell me you wouldnt get a smug satisfaction from smacking around jesse and james once or twice a month). Also with this give a few of them legendaries, i'm okay with leveling off ubrs. and maybe the important/interesting colleseum/xd/battle revolution gym leaders and others, i miss that silly affro chump and is ludiculo.
Arena effects, man i hope they dont mess this up. i love the idea of a poison arena, it has a ton of potential but a lot of room to be cumbersome and annoying
I really like the additions to old evolution lines, but give them to me as extras and don't include them in your 150 new guys. 150 new pokes and evolutions + 15 or so baby pokemon and evolutions from prior generation monsters. If we need eevees, which we might, lets talk about ground and flying fits the black/white yin/yang vibe the game gives me. minotuarus needs to happen.
onto the legendaries, have mercy. from a creating a world/game/story stand point these pokemon are FANTASTIC plot points. buuuut they need to have some story behind them. i'm all about side quests, getting the regis in g3 with the brail and such that was inspired and the suicune sub plot in hgss was fun, so lets make them sidequests.

Goob you beat down 20 hours ago: Hey <trainer> have your heard about <legend>. <Gym Leader/Professor/etc> knows a lot about <legend> you should go see them!
**you go to sub plot character, you battle they tell you hint/full detail you can make a few more of these go to location/charecter/etc here or go straight on to the battle/capture, but thats not hard and gives a chance to get some dialogue and some more interesting events/dungeons into the game. having them as MAIN plot things, im cool with too.
As for as age demographic I get it needs to sell, but disney movies used to have dicks in the clouds. So I'm sure gamefreak could put in cleverer dialogue. But lets make a compromise huh? The story doesnt have to be a complex epic it can stick to its formula, but keep the end game fun for us older gamers and pander to a bit of nostalgia.
id love access to old zones to show passage of time, but even better would be two continents to explore and battle across the lands, just saying that would make for some damn interesting post e4 gameplay, especially if the 2nd zone was vasty different, or even wilder, or back in time (please give me a dinosaur pokemon game aerodactyl babies instead of zubats ftw!), or in space, or in another demension. hell we've got legendaries from space and ones that control time and inhabit parallel dimensions so whats to say other pokemone dont come from space (clefairy) or past/future (all the fossils) or other dimensions ( well we've been to other dimensions but they would be cool as unique zones). Spice things up a little bit and use some of the old plot threads.
bred species. easy example, you breed a seviper and an arbok together you get a hybrid species.
more ribbons and pokeballs. Ribbons > Pokeballs imo. Make the ribbons a bit more specific, instead of just "beat e4 this gen" ribbon have the "grand beat the e4 1st time on this save file". Make the ribbons so they are milestones, specifically and generally.
more version exclusivity with normal pokes. more this fire type or that fire type = more fire types for everyone.
