What's going to dominate cities: Arceus varients

Why is it going to dominate cities: Because it's a card that looks like it has nothing going for it, low HP, high energy costs, but if you actually look into it, it looks like it could be another deck like PL0X. Different types with a LV X that can use any attack of any arceus on the field(on your side) and you can move energy around, many options.

It's OK, but not good enough to be a meta deck for sure. Arceus isn't that good even when setup all the way. There are plenty of better cards from AoA. Like tangrowth, salamance, and more!

Have you looked into it? I mean, extensively tested and seriously looked and made dec lists and spent hours testing?

I have worked with it quite a lot. But when you eventually get to the meat of the game (Where both sides have their setup) Arceus goes down. It doesn't have any defining attack or attribute that makes it win tight battles. It's a little of everything, and it is rarely going to work.

Okay, where are all the decks that are coming from Platinum Arceus (besides Gengar)? I'm talking about Tangrowth, Salamence, even Luxray(not SP) and Fossils. I'm guessing a lot of people will be trying out those decks...

GG man...GG...cause DCE will be out, which means a faster GG. Which means a faster power lock. Which means you cant Claydol/Luxray/Garchomp/Palkia/Mesprit/Uxie/Azelf/Crobat/Infernape/Gallade/the list goes on one turn fast. And that-is bad.

Right. And that comes out in February. Cities is generally in March. So it COULD be legal. And if it is, then thats just awful. HOWEVER: If DCE is not legal, I see Gengar ruling the cities. O woops! Lol thats cities! I am thinking of states OMG SORRY EVERYONE. For STATES GG will be broken, but for cities, its Gengar. Sorry dude. Lol. Haha my bad.

No no its in like December, your right your right. I got confused. States is like March-ish, after HG/SS, and Cities is like late december/early january. Gengar will be big for cities.

Ooh right I'm playing fossils for cities anyway but bench shield will be a nice addition to KFC. I might also try Luxray(AoA) with Expert Belt, it seems pretty good.

Nothing will. It will be like last year where it was split between
Dusknoir
Kingdra.
I expect SPs to fall. I expect it to be split between
Gyrados
FlyChamp
Salemence
Gengar(maybe)
So I think Gyra because it's quick and really doesn't have many if any bad matchups. Flychamp because it can beat anything and because if it lucksacks your doomed. Salemence because of Delcatty and Gengar as maybe because it depends on how popular SPs are and if the new X's are used alot(the good ones all have powers)

What's going to dominate cities: Tangrowth

Why is it going to dominate cities: It's near unKOable. Unless Ape, Blaze or Charizard become popular, OHKOing it is impossible. Nidoqueen and Tangrowth SF means that you restore 40 damage a turn, and that's not even the beginning.

tangrowth means running tangrowth lvl x, almost certainly also meaning sceptile, claydol, etc. this deck is going to have all kinds of problems against flygon variants that already exist. flytrap will deck it out, flygon x can OHKO tangrowth x and gallade, which is seeing more play in both GG and FGGD decks can strategically OHKO a tangrowth at least once a game. so i think there are plenty of popular things which can OHKO it without resorting to fire pokemon. plus tangrowth builds will mean a large bench, making it very susceptible to dark palm dusknoir (which is still everywhere).
don't get me wrong, I think tangrowth will be better than ever, I just don't think it will be top tier.
