Giving the success of DP and the amount of material to cover in movies I personally feel Generation V won't be released until 2011 and possibly 2012.It's probably best anyway.We can't have them coming out so fast that we can't keep up. :/

Honestly, I don't think there will be a GenV. It's obvious that they are running out of ideas, plus, they've already made the "God" Pokemon.
As long as pokemon keeps getting new fans, and with the amount of money they are making, they will have a generation v. Pokemon will keep going even if they have run out if ideas. They'll reuse some old ones; they do that now anyway.
I reckon that a fifth gen pokemon will be revealed soon, but the 5th gen itself will not come out 'til about 2010.

Forget the "god" pokemon.There is still plenty of things they can do.They'll just create a bigger god...OR instead of releasing generations they might just release a few new ones here and there....but I do feel that this is not a franchise that is anywhere near ending.
I really don't think Pokemon will stop with G4. Its at a peak it hasn't been at since 2001, and Nintendo would not be dumb enough to throw away something when its at a peak of popularity. Now if it loses attention like it did during late G2 and into G3, then it may stop. But that's not what's happening now. =)
Anyway, it'll happen sometime between 2010-2012 for America:

2011 = R/S came out in 2003, Emerald in 2005, D/P came out in 2007, Platinum comes in 2009, its following that pattern....
2012 = Amother pattern. R/B started in 1998, G/S 2 years later, R/S 3 more years later, D/P in another 4 years, G5 in five years from D/P. (Which would be 2012.)

Its not to do with a pattern, its to do with when they have it all finished by. Generally, each game takes longer to make as the effects get better, the games get longer, more is added, etc.
Also, I think that WE can't be anticipating Gen 5 any time soon, I would give it 3/4 years yet before it is released in US. And besides, Nintendo may have brought out a new console by then, and therefore they wil hvae to make the game with completely different technology and it may take even longer.

Nintendo is a business. You know what businesses like to do? MAKE MONEY! You know what Pokemon does every time a new generation comes out? IT MAKES $$$$$$$$! 
It is stupid to say they wouldn't make a new one just because they made the "god" Pokemon. And besides, Mew used to be like the "god" Pokemon since it was suspected to be the origin of all Pokemon.
Nintendo always thinks of something new for the Mario and Zelda series games, why wouldn't they do the same for Pokemon.
I'd say Pokemon is a major reason why their handheld market is so strong!

I agree with that.Basically the only reason I bought my DS was to play Diamond on it. :/ So im sure Pokemon brings in the money.

Yea I thought that too.There has been several Pokemon that we're considered to be origin Pokemon especially Mew.Not to mention yes there could be multiple pokemon "deities".

After GSC would have been a great time to stop making new Pokémon, just make new games with the original 251. They didn't stop there, and it's too late to stop now, either they don't make a new game, or there will be a new gen and 50 new legendaries.

Well I do hope there is a 5th generation and I believe there will be but I do agree there shouldn't be as many legendaries but there should be a few.
