Pokemon When do you think a likely date will be for Generation V?

After GSC would have been a great time to stop making new Pokémon, just make new games with the original 251. They didn't stop there, and it's too late to stop now, either they don't make a new game, or there will be a new gen and 50 new legendaries.

yea I didnt like that they put so many legends in D/P but I hope they only put 1 or 2 legends in the next gen
 
If they put 100 new pokemon in the next gen I'll be suprised.
I say there will only be about 80 new Pokemon and maybe about the same amount of legendaries as D/P, give or take a few.

I'm guessing the Next gen will come late 2009 early 2010. Hopefully. I really enjoy it when new Pokemon come out,...it's so exciting.
 
GSC scored the minimum amount of pokemon, 100. There'll be at least 100, bringing the total to at least 600.

When? Well this region is a lot larger than the others, so here's my prediction

2007-Darkrai
2008-Shaymin
2009-Areceus
2010-New Legendary

The year after that new legendary is when Generation 5 will be released as a game, Pokemon Topaz (placeholder name) 2011

Also, I think that WE can't be anticipating Gen 5 any time soon, I would give it 3/4 years yet before it is released in US. And besides, Nintendo may have brought out a new console by then, and therefore they wil hvae to make the game with completely different technology and it may take even longer.

The second bolded part: 3/4 years = 2011/2012 = what I said.

They didn't say there would be 720 of them. They said it would have a base stat total of 720. READ!!
 
They'll be able to come up with stuff, don't worry. Does that mean they'll be good? Not at all.

They need to remake GSC.

Why create something new when you could just bring back something that already works (and would certainly sell well)?

Yeah. GSC was gem. They could make just as much money as they would with, say, Battle Revolution; it would also please the Pokemon fans to a good point.

Plus, it could buy them some time while they come up with this possible Gen V. I dunno, it just seems so wierd for them to make even more Pokemon after what they've already done; I can only imagine how many 'object' Pokemon and how many Legends there'd be. They need to not make so many legends.
 
They really need some Pokémon to represent some common animals, like houseflies and cockroaches, that's for sure.
 
I hope they don't make a generation five but they probably will. I just hope they end the anime series after the fourth gen. because I'm getting kind of sick of it. Ash should be a grown up by now. If they make Fifth gen. pokemon and they continue the anime series they should have a spin off of it with ash's kids.
 
well lets think here first ash was only 10 when he started out I think its proably only been about 5 years so hes only about 15 not around 20 or a good age to get married at
 
Not to mention every EPISODE is ONE day on the series so technically it makes sense.
 
As a prevoius thread explained, if pokemon keeps releasing new gens then it will become too complicated and if it doesnt release any new gens them it will become boring. So I think pokemon should actually wait about 5 years before releasing gen V so we can get a more firm memory of all the current pokemon.

Thats what I think
 
threre will be a V generation, i asked pokemon if there will and they said, " if diamond and pearl gets a big response there will be in the future" and there is like 1000 some pokemon the creator made and the release date will be prolly in 2011

2001- 2 gen.
2003- 3 gen
2005- 1 gen (frlg)
2007: 4 gen
2009: 4 gen (platinum)
2011: 5 gen

this will go on in the to year increments

I 100% agree.They should wait so we can enjoy what we have right now and learn it well.They should wait until people are craving new ones.

no , remember in the 3rd movie's short , ash ,misty and brock throw a party celebrating pikachu's and ash's a year together.
that was around season 3-5 (probably only 3-4).
so ash is 12-14 probably right now.
 
I think that they will probably make more lame games like trozie and dash and such. They are going to update every single non RPG Pokemon game like they have with ranger and PMD. Then, They will make Pokemon generation V
 
I'm hoping that they don't make Generation V. If they do though, it'll probably come out in a year or two. Hopefully they stop at Generation V... if they keep making new Pokemon it will just get complicated and repetitive. They should be close to running out of ideas by now.
