Well, I just think boy characters should be played by boys. But, because Ash is so you, he hasn't hit puberty, meaning his voice is high and girly. So, I believe that's the reason his voice is played by a girl

Back on topic: Next gen girl should also having least amount of shippings for Ash... there are like a ton of shipping with Ash, even one with Pikachu :)0)

Also make sure next gen girl maybe has more shippings hint with Ash's rival (kinda like Dawn and Paul now, but more obvious).

Maybe even one with Gary (just thought of that).

I can't stand Paul. Nobpdy deserves to even be called his girlfriend or boyfriend if you like those (boyxboy ships, which disgust me to no end. I hate the girlxgirl ships as well)

The only person at the top of my head is that Domino person from Mewtwo Returns.... but maybe even she won't like Paul...

Is there any obvious ships that Gary has (not counting GaryxAsh, GaryxMay, GaryxMisty, or GaryxDawn?) Kinda hoping the next gen girl will ditch Ash and go with Gary :)

That won't ever happen though...

It actuality, my fave shipping is Pokeshipping. It is not because they look cute together (that is a bonus), it is due to the amount of hints. I think Pokeshipping has most, then Advanceshipping, then Pearlshipping. Then again, for Pearlshipping, Ash gave a few hints pretty fast, while in Pokeshipping, maybe only 5 hints in 5 seasons+ cameos (the girls usualy give more hints). So in case Pearlshipping is the truth, I suppose Misty can marry Rudy from the Orange Islands, and May can marry Drew. Then, the next gen girl can have Gary or Ash's new rival(s)
:) But I am still a Pokeshipper, till the end. ;)

I wasn't trying to change you view on this at all. But I'm a die-hard Pearlshipper. But we'll never see them kiss because Pokemons' a kid's show

We'll see no romance because kids watch this show and they'll ask questions about that and the parents will get mad, sue PUSA and the anime will be ruined...

I think people are already mad by how short Dawn's skirt is.... it bothers me a little, but it is not like a completely new thing (I used to watch Sailor Moon...)

Besides, PUSA, slowly, is losing fans, because of the new voices, I think...
