BW/BW2 Why Can't All Gens Be Like Gen 5?

Look at last gen. It had like 100 or so new pokemon that were probably MOSTLY sort of related to past pokemon. I loved this gen, but why couldn't they have made more new pokemon those generations? It was an Island Nation and since they COMPLETELY Changed Gen V from everything else, Do you think they will do it again? They obviously have the pokemon and such to just keep starting over. Will you want to see the gen to be like Johto and have Less pokemon? or have each gen contain like 150 new pokemon?
 
Gen 3 only had 2 pre-evos that nobody really cared about. It was great, but no, people hated it.
 
Gen 2 had blissey,elekid,smoochum,magby,cleffa,pichu,igglybuff,crobat.
 
It's because Gen 5 is an improvement on previous gens, just like previous gens. Gen 2 was an improvement on 1, Gen 3 was an improvement on 1 and 2, Gen 4 was an improvement on 1, 2, and 3, and Gen 5 is an improvement on all the other gens.
 
Becuase Gen 5 is awesome! XD
I think they will do it again but maybe not for Gen 6 and/or 7 becuase Gen 6 might be further up from where you can see the rivers.
 
Because they just started to do something differently even though none of us have played it to see how much of a difference it makes?
 
Perhaps this will become the norm now? The last time I was this excited about new pokemon from a gen was in the 3rd generation.

I hope we won't have to wait until the 7th gen to experience this again. :S
 
why cant all generations have a horribly ugly fire/figthing starter....gen 4 had that and so does gen 5

Other gens aren't as awesome because not all the gens could be. If they all were, every gen people would want more and more from pokemon. Just like when gen 6 roles around (which it will!), people are likely to be disappointed because of how awesome this gen is and will be. I mean, just look at all these awesome new pokemon!
 
It's because people were claiming that GF was 'running our of ideas', so I guess they decided to prove them wrong by completely rebooting the whole series, and it's worked out great. I love this gen, besides the starter evos. Gen 3 was my favorite gen but it might be replaced by this one (also because this gen will have the gen 3 remakes).
 
Not exactly replacing as in deleting the old ones, but just providing a better and newer alternative by introducing their newer and better counterparts.

The 5th Generation is THE generation. I only cared about Gen 3 and Gen 5's release. Cos they were/are/will be the best ones.
 
^that. I agree that these are my favorites. They have the coolest and cutest looking pokemon so far. Its nice to have trouble picking a team because all the pokemon look cute and will later look amazing. Actually all my favorites from gen3 now have counterparts (like salamence as much as onokouso). Gen5 will probably be my favorite, especially with a drk hydra.
 
Thats such a lie. Look up all the pokemon you dont like. Learn something new mr pokeball and sludge lover. Almost all pokemon are based on real life.
Denchura is based on tarantulas (duh) and the typing comes from them being able to paralyze foes. Bronzong line is a japanase legend, manaphy is a sea angel (look it up)
Take the time to find stuff out before claiming people are unoriginal.
 
What if he meant the "overall gameplay and storylines"? The pokemon themselves are only one aspect, and their traits in-game and cartoon don't always resemble those of the real world.
