The byes have never been listed as a win in Challonge. The byes are listed in their own column. Since March, when it was realized that when players were dropping it was messing up the point spread, we removed the tie-breaker point a bye would typically provide. Although, it you are getting a bye, you are most likely not on the top of the list of ranked players as byes are selected randomly from those with lower win percentages.

While I may be posting this round's pairings early, the round does not officially start until midnight ET tonight. Thus, the initial challenge response 48-hour clock still runs from Tuesday at midnight through Wednesday at 11:59 PM ET. With that said, if you would like to start early, go ahead. Just keep in mind that the activity schedule remains as planned.

Previous tasks:

A few people have asked what it takes to be considered as someone who has completed the previous tasks. First, if you had played in the previous month's tournament and you were not dropped. Second, you have made at least two discussion posts on the forums in the last month. Third, you must promise to be an active poster this month and have a valid e-mail address on your account. Otherwise, another option is to become a Premium Member. However, being dropped from multiple tournaments may result in a suspension of participation in future activities, no matter your membership status.

If you could not complete the previous tasks, you may still get into the Monthly TCG Cups. It depends upon how many members registered before you, were placed in a higher tier for whatever reason and if someone drops early. Otherwise, you will need to make at least two discussion posts this month to get into the higher tier for next month. On the plus side, you will be informed of registration being open next month before anyone else if you stay on the Waiting List. You just need to have your tag notification enabled. In addition, you have until registration ends to get a Premium Membership and let the tournament organizer know so you can be moved to the Premium Member tier.

NOTE: If you are not sure if you had made two discussion posts on the forum during last month, all you need to do is to go to your "Profile Page" and click on the "Postings" tab. It will display a number of your posts, including the date. If the current month is June, last month means May, not just prior to registering to this activity on June 1. I actually have to check the information that you submit, so intentional dishonesty is not appreciated and can be penalized.

P.S.S. NEW RULING:
  • Self-Judging: All rulings must come from a member of the tournament staff. That means that when a ruling is required, you must follow the instructions for the proper situation as indicated. Issuing your own rulings is strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification.
