No, in Italy. Just look at the map, that is all you need to know; 95% will probably based on France.
 
Hi guys, I'm French (sorry for my english). Frenchs see you since a french forum. I think it was not important if GF chose this country or this contry (and if France is chose for this generation, UK is for the 7G, that´s sure ^^).
Just be happy, It would be mainly references rather than a focus a France

Je ne pense pas que Game Freak va choisir le Royaume-Uni pour 7G. Le Royaume-Uni n'est pas aussi joli ou de culture en France.
Je ne pense pas que là où je vis ferait un bon jeu vidéo.

I don't think that Game Freak will choose the UK for 7G. The UK is not as pretty or cultured as France.
I don't think where I live would make a good game. xD

No, but as I say it will reference more than anything else (Unova (or Unovia) has only ? that truly represents the USA). I think it will be the same for the 6G with France and UK release if there is, I can see the capital of the region with a London style.

Oui, vous pourriez avoir raison! Londres serait intéressant de voir dans Pokemon. Ce serait drôle de voir les zones rugueuses de Londres dans le jeu vidéo, cependant! Je pense à Paris, c'est très romantique et intéressant pour de nombreuses autres cultures. Peut-être que je vois Londres, pas si romantique parce que c'est près de là où j'habite.

Yes, you could be right! London would be interesting to see in Pokemon. Would be funny to see the rough areas of London in the game, however! I think with Paris is that it's quite romantic and interesting to many other cultures. Maybe I see London as not so romantic because it's near to where I live.

I don't think that all of Europe should've been pushed into one game. There's too much culture. (Unova is more of just New York than all of America like Karos is just France.)

Besides, that'll give them plenty of space to go with new ideas for future games. Perhaps they'll do England next time, or Germany.

Please, explain to me how the XY tower is the same color as the BLACKpool Tower.

I think he meant that the design looked similar from close up.
 
I think having a region based in a cold area of the world would be nifty, actually.
Maybe Greenland, or North Russia?

I would like more love for Europe, but Europe as a whole for one region is a tad too much.

I secretly dream of the next region based on the Netherlands. I know, it's chauvinistic, but so was the reaction of the American fans when Unova was revealed. =P Eventhough the Netherlands is a small country, it's quite diverse. I mean, we don't have mountains or huge forests or anything, but Gamefreak is known to add those things were they aren't, so that's not a big deal. We have a huge port in Rotterdam, we have the famous Amsterdam with it's canals, we have windmills, we made an entire province in the water, we have young cities and very old ones, we have a rich history, etc. Enough to base a region around, but it'll sadly never happen.
 
Hi everybody,

I'm a french girl who have see this forum, and it's to see : a lot of french doesn't understand why some people's reaction are like this...
I mean... Pokémon is only going to use the shape of a region (never a whole country) and for some "clichés" like the Eiffel Tower for example... It is so important to have his country used for a Pokémon region ?
I love Pokémon from the very start, in G1 when regions are only inspired by Japanese regions. And if I remember, I always haven't care about it...

But don't worry : nobody in the french forum I visit think than English are jealous : we have read all of your positive comments, and we hope for one day see a Pokémon game inspired of you country !

Come on, G6 is going to be fantastic, no matter the region ! Just be happy people :)

I don't know if you're joking, but I'd actually love to see this. Of course, they'd have to change the climate a bit, but other than that...
