RE: Anime Thread
Can't say American cartoons are any better though. It went from like Charlie Brown (who I dislike but still) to Family Guy.
anyways
I would have to say my "Golden Era" is the 90's/early 2000's. That's when Hajime no Ippo, Initial D, Yugioh, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember at the moment came around.
PokeMedic said:That's where I stand, too. I used to be into stuff from the 80s and 90s, but at some point in the late 90s to present it just changed. My favorites are the original Mobile Suit Gundam series', Macross, Ghost in the Shell, and Paranoia Agent as far as more recent material goes. The last one really hits on the nose what I think about modern anime and some of its influences. I'd go back even further and talk about things no one has heard about until I mention them, but I don't want go full-out Anime Hipster.

I remember a lot of anime I watched had many apocalyptic themes to them. Now they have a lot of boobs and butts and fan service and effeminate men. Stay classy, Japan.
