XY Your Shiny Hunts

That's some crazy speed. I did some math and that means you managed to get at least 4 resets per minute, 240 per hour and 10,800 around 45 hours. The average person usually only manages 3 per minute. Which would have taken 60+ hours... I could never sit through that, my ADD would lose track and I would've forgot I was hunting.

Major congrats are in order for that is an incredibly fast hunt.

Well, around 4000 sr's, I got curious and checked out my Diamond and Pearl versions to see if I had caught the Heatran in them. And in Pearl, I had yet to catch it, so I started to dual sr. So 3000 or so of the sr's were from the second DS. But in the end, I actually found shiny Heatran on my Platinum Version! :p
 
Oh you dual hunted! That explains how you pulled it off so quick. It takes at least 30 seconds to get from the title screen to the encounter even mashing A like a mad man. ... ...maybe I'll dual hunt for Ariados/Noibat in Victory Road.... but I'm *still* working on Ledyba... c'mon shiny charm I'd like to move on with this huge list of shinies I wanna hunt...
 
Just found a shiny Ralts while hunting for Flabebe (I decided to take a pause from MM), and it's female as I wanted :D (Did use Cute Charm ;) )
Was so scared it would use Teleport, but it was level 8, and Ralts first learns Teleport at level 12! Phew, Gretel the Ralts was mine :D

Congrats! I got mine through the MM and she's almost Perfect (4IVs). I nicknamed her Solstice.
 
wife asked me to get her a shiny solosis. Hatched one on my 2nd egg :D first MM shiny and i got it on my 2nd egg! makes up for like 500 dry gastlys...
 
So I decided to give up on my Phione hunt, and begin on a Kricketot hunt, since I love Kricketot (and Tune), so far I've filled up 3 boxes. The hunt took to long and the eggs took so long time to hatch, and after 7.5 boxes full of Phione, I decided to quit the hunt and start over :)

I've done some side hunting in safaris as well, and I've found a shiny Ponyta, a shiny Pyroar and a shiny Riolu :D

Something amazing just happened earlier in my Pokemon X. I went to look for a Golett and then BAM! There it is, the first Golett I encountered, a SHINY Golett. I, of course, captured it; a shiny Careful Golett with Iron Fist and Light Clay. :p

So damn lucky.
 
I have this problem where if I look for shiny pokemon I never end up finding one, but if I don't bother looking then they start showing up. For example when I was using the MM to get a shiny litwick no luck after 8 boxes, Though when I was hatching for a noibat with a good nature I ended with a shiny after 10 eggs. I also got a shiny dratini with it's hidden ability after 30 when I was also looking for a jolly nature.
 
I'm working on a living Pokédex; where I have one of every Pokémon with an entry stored in bank for future games, and while collecting more Pokémon I found a shiny Loudred. Completely shocked me.

He's a lonely nature, with the ability Scrappy. Might put him up for trade.
 
It only took around 300 eggs, (felt like 600 since it was a psuedo-legendary), but I finally hatched my competitive shiny Deino!
It has a modest nature and four perfect IVs, (31/xx/31/31/31/xx). It sucks that it doesn't have thirty-one IVs in speed, but as long as I put in 252 EVs in it's speed stat, it should do pretty well in battle.
I also caught a shiny Vivillon (Modern pattern) in the Friend Safari last night while training my shiny Vanillish and shiny Skorupi. So this has been a very successful week! :D

An easy method to get a shiny is revieving fossils! I got a shiny Sheldon on the 27 on i revieved!

Anyway i m deciding if i should start up my shiny Mawile hunt again. I stoped after about 12 boxes with no shinys...
 
For those not knowing how to start shiny hunting I suggest Friend Safari hunting. For 2 weeks straight I was finding shinies everyday. Reviving fossils is also a great way as Phantom Haze said is really easy (if your not into ivs and natures).

Yesterday I accidently Wonder Traded my shiny 5iv Hawlucha (I mentioned in an earlier post) and got a Panpour. Damn you random string of Chinese/Japenese Letters! But after hatching my remaining 17 eggs I got a imperfect shiny Hawlucha so that kinda fixes it. I don't know if this is a record or something but the shiny hawluchas I have got were in the time frame of 20 eggs. Pretty lucky right?

My best accomplishment: 5IV (missing defence, which was the one I cared for the least :D) shiny Froakie with the Protean ability and a Hasty nature. It took so long. I got 3 other shiny Froakies before I finally got the one I wanted. The first two both had the Torrent ability. After that I gave up for a while. When I continued I first wanted to get the right egg moves. Since the parents with the correct egg moves didn't have the right nature I didn't bother using an Everstone, since it wouldn't have helped/mattered. (Un)lucky me got a shiny Froakie with a Careful nature on the third try. Many tries later I finally got the one I wanted. It was totally worth it! :D Greninja is my favourite Water-type Pokémon.
 
I started my hunt for a shiny Mawile again with Madusa breeding with no luck still:(... I have pretty bad luck with that method and all of my shinys(except sheildon)are random encounters.

I've just returned form a school trip to Berlin, and since I came home yesterday I've founda shiny Pancham in a safari, and I'm still MM'ing for a shiny Kricketot, where I'm on my seventh box :)
 
After about an hour and a lot of money testing the tip theory I came across a golden Growlithe, now an Arcanine, in the Friend Safari. This guy looks a lot better than I thought he would.

- silver: the first one that I catched was Tentacruel... the second Gyarados and the third Ditto (from Red)
- Pearl: Ponyta *_*
plus via gts: Mightyena, Grumpig, Scizor, Feraligatr, Pachirisu, Slaking, Gyarados
- Heart Gold: Gyarados...
those maybe are cheat cheat: Rotom, Pidgeotto, Doduo, Ponyta, Tangela, Golduck, Pichu
via gts: Hoothoot
- black 2: shiny Gible (from the black tower)
- X: only Poliwhirl -> with the fishing chain XD
