Pokemon 16:
  • 3 Carbink (Fates Collide w/ Safe Gaurd)
  • 1 Carbink (Other Fates Collide one)
  • 3 Carbink BREAK
  • 2 Zygarde-EX
  • 1 Shaymin-EX
  • 1 Hoopa-EX
  • 1 Regirock-EX
  • 2 Zoruark
  • 2 Zorua
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums 32:
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 2 N
  • 2 Korrina
  • 2 Wally
  • 1 Lysandre
  • 2 Power Memory
  • 2 Float Stone
  • 2 Fighting Fury Belt
  • 2 Battle Compressor
  • 4 VS Seeker
  • 3 Trainer's Mail
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 2 Scorched Earth
  • 1 fighting stadium
Energy 12:
  • 8 Fighting Energy
  • 4 Strong Energy
Strategy:

This is a list without testing. Hopefully I can make the proxies to do testing, but for now, I need to make a solid start. Anyway, The point for card choices is stated below:

Zoruark: Used when needed to switch between Zygarde-EX(After attacked) and Carbink BREAK (For energy acceleration.

Wally: If I go second and start with Carbink, I can attach an energy and then use Wally to evolve on T1 into Carbink BREAK.

Carbink BREAK: Energy accelerator. This is like the Virizion-EX of VirGen, but now we have Carbink BREAK. I don't know if I will have a hard time getting Energies in the discard pile or not, but if so would Battle compressor be good?

Regirock-EX: The 10 Extra Damage can be really good in certain matchups. For example, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Mewtwo, Mega Manetric (with Flash Energy). We do have Strong Energy and Fighting Stadium, so it isn't as needed.

What should I take out for Battle Compressor in this deck. I only have Sycamore and Ultra Ball for discarding, which is bad on T1-T2 explosiveness.

I would stick to just utilizing the Carbink attack for energy acceleration, so you could very easily remove the Max Elixirs to make room. Also, I don't think you will need 3 Power Memory, two should be sufficient. I would also up your count of fighting stadium, with only two you are bound to lose the stadium war, especially with how popular and useful stadiums are in all decks. You may also be able to get away with running eight basic Fighting energy instead of the nine, especially since you are going to be recycling them like crazy.

I feel that 2 Fighting Stadiums are enough because they don't seem too needed. All it is used for is annoying stadiums to counter them. I am already doing enough damage with Regirock-EX and Strong Energy combined with the already 200 damage. I could take out one Max Elixir, but not all of them. I like powering up my Zygarde-EX as quickly as possible to have a stream of attacks. The problem with VirGen decks I think was they couldn't get the G Booster which was why they played Skyla. 3 I feel is good so every 20 cards I should get one.

The most damage I think I would ever have to do would be capable with only 1 strong energy. Most decks nowadays have a maximum of 240 damage which I can get with only 2 strong energies.

After testing, these are the changes I want to do:

-2 Fighting Stadium
-1 Max Elixir

+2 Scorched Earth
+1 Battle Compressor

Consider Cutting a zygard and something else for 2 Lucario ex in order to get the draw from it's second attack and diversify weaknesses.

Lucario EX is not needed in this kind of fighting deck. It would make the deck slow and clunky and my personal way of doing decks try and stay away from that. The deck wouldn't seem focused enough to be competitive.

In other words, I would have to attach energies in lots of different places almost like a fighting box deck. I want to compare this deck to VirGen, so I can't do that with Lucario-EX. Also info that this card would be tinned, makes it easier to get and test. I do like the changes with the deck (Battle Compressor and Scorched Earth).

Carbink is gonna be one of those $10 break cards, won't it. I'm thinking 4-2 rather than 3-3 to make sure you start with one.

I really like this deck! Also I'm kinda jealous that this is like 80 % of the preconstructed deck that Japan gets. Why don't we get cool pre made decks like this?

I kinda agree with 3 power memory but may want also a skyla... Startling Megaphone and Xerosic are all over, and may end up being standard in the next set just to deal with this guy.

I edited the deck list to what the comments stated.

-3 Max Elixirs
-2 Fighting stadiums

+2 Scorched Earth
+2 Battle Compressor
+1 Skyla

Hi awesomeMSG,

Nice deck. Consider these modifications:

- 1 Skyla (Korrina and Trainer's Mail are more efficient than Skyla in this deck)
- 1 Fighting Energy (twelve energy in total is sufficient without Max Elixir)

+ 1 Trainer's Mail (more efficient search card)
+ 1 Fighting Stadium (nice attack boost and you want at least three stadiums for Zygarde's first attack)

I do like these changes. I will definitely test them as soon as possible. I will edit the decklist as well.

It seems like everyone is going to use this. This is why in the article "Alakaboodle", I stated that Bees murder Zygarde because the deck in itself beats anything with grass weakness. If you don't already know where I'm going, put Lucario into your deck. You said that you'd rather compare it to VirGen, but the problem is, this deck loses to anything grass, and at the time, there were virtually no fire Pokémon in VirGens format to make it lose. That was the biggest reason VirGen was good. Another reason you can't compare this to VirGen is that this accelerates from your discard, whereas VirGen doesn't. I plan to make this deck when it comes out, but I'm taking the correct precautionary measures. I'm even putting baby Landy into my deck just for Bees. And you really only do need 2 Power Memory, because it isn't G-Booster, it is much worse. G-Booster got through Pyroar, Safegaurders, and only discarded 2 energies, plus it practically had free retreat, and you could fetch G-Booster out of the discard if you wanted. And after playing Primal Groudon for so long, I can pretty much give anyone a good fighting turbo list, so if I were you, I would take this criticism to heart. And do keep in mind, fighting basically already is a toolbox, because there are so many, you can tech just about any one of them in to cover the main card's weakness. Plus, copying and pasting are what bad players do. So rather than work off of VirGen, try creating your own engine and work from there, and I can guarantee that you will have great results.

Now that my criticism is over, here are my thoughts, I would drop both Shaymins for a Hoopa-EX and Lucario-EX. Fighting already uses a lot of EX's, so putting up bait is very bad, plus Lucario does the same thing for a solid attack, higher HP, weakness covering side attacker. Also, you're not always going to use the Power Memory, since Megas are dead, and you already have strong 180 OHKO potential, which is why people are saying to drop one. I'm not saying this is good, but here's what my prototype Pokémon lineup will be:
Pokémon:14
  • 2 Zygarde-EX
  • 2 Carbink(w/ Safegaurd)
  • 1 Carbink(w/ Energy Keeper)
  • 3 Carbink Break
  • 1 Lucario-EX
  • 3 Regirock-EX
  • 1 Hoopa-EX
  • 1 Landorus
I also plan to run Super Rod, Float Stones, AZ, and Escape Rope, so I wouldn't run Zoroark. Also, since Jirachi may somewhat be a problem, as well as ToadKingTina, the one-of of the other Carbink makes it a great tech.

I have done testing (finally) and found that it is like a 60-40 your favor thing against bees. I played 10 games today and 6 I won, 3 were close (but the stupid lysandre ) and 1 I got destroyed starting with Shaymin-EX and dead draws. I feel Carbink really helps angainst Bees. Also having 3 copies of "Squishy" (show reference of Power Memory) can have backup Zygardes ready. FFB also helps for the HP boost to 230 on Zygard-EX. I will try and do more testing to make the deck more consistent and get the match-ups better.

I saw this deck play on a Japanese channel and they ran 3 Regirock, 3/3 Medichamp and a 3/3 line of Carabink. It ran really well. It didn't play shaymins, and the game I saw it won against was NM. From what I could tell, they ran a 4 line of N, and a 4 line of Level balls. I think Medichamp is such a good play because it's a two charge with a double Strong energy attack. It powers up pretty easily with Carabink, and you only loose a card in the prize exchange. Plus you can use Focus Sash. At one point in the game medichamp hit for 130 on a shaymin, and then got to hit for another 110 * 2 on a joltik with a fighting spirit belt on it. He took 3 prize cards.

It was a cool deck.

@awesomeMSG Can you post the list you've been having success with? I've been using proxies and found a list I like, so I figured we could exchange list info about the deck.

I've been using the decklist in the main post. Also, I forgot to mention Zoroark. Most Vespiquen decks have a full bench so doing 160 damage is a big hitter for that deck and is known as a "Threat" that gives up one prize. I would consider the 2(safegaurd)-1 split of Carbink.

Edit: Also, what about Hawluchu from furious fists. I has free retreat and hits hard on EXs.

It's really nothing to look at. Mostly used in Fighting decks for things like Tina or Toad, but since Carbink( both of them )destroys Toad and Tina, and you can recycle Strong Energy, AND because you can already hit super hard, you really don't need it. Here's my list that I've used:

Pokémon:15
  • 2 Zygarde-EX
  • 3 Carbink Break
  • 2 Carbink( Safegaurd )
  • 1 Carbink( Energy Keeper )
  • 3 Regirock-EX
  • 1 Lucario-EX
  • 1 Landorus( Furious Fists )
  • 1 Hoopa-EX
  • 1 Shaymin-EX
Trainers:34
  • 4 Sycamore
  • 3 N
  • 3 Korrina
  • 1 Lysandre
  • 1 AZ
  • 2 Sky Field
  • 1 Scorched Earth
  • 2 Power Memory
  • 1 FFB
  • 1 Muscle Band
  • 2 Float Stone
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 4 VS Seeker
  • 3 Acro Bike
  • 2 Battle Compressor
  • 1 Super Rod
Energy:11
  • 7 Fighting
  • 4 Strong
I didn't like the idea of Wally or Zoroark, cuz' I thought it would be too klunky, and since I already played S.O.P Landorus, I figured I'd kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Since Phantom Forces could rotate this upcoming September, I imagine the list above will change, so...

Here is a PRC-on alternate guess list:

Pokemon: 16

2 Carbink(Safeguard)
2 Carbink(Energy Keeper)
3 Carbink BREAK
3 Zygarde-EX
3 Regirock-EX
2 Shaymin-EX
1 Hoopa-EX

Trainers: 33
4 Sycamore
3 N
2 Lysandre
1 AZ
2 Sky Field
2 Scorched Earth
2 Power Memory
2 FFB
2 Float Stone
3 Ultra Ball
4 VS Seeker
4 Acro Bike
1 Eco Arm
1 Super Rod

Energy: 11
7 Fighting
4 Strong

^ Again, for the possibility of PRC-on... Shame that Korrina is not reprinted in English past its initial Furious Fists print... It's a given that it will go away from Standard in September unless she is reprinted in the August set... As for Battle Comp, it's not a given, but a possibility that it will go away from Standard in that same month, and since "Flare Gear" is part of the card name, the only reprint it can possibly have is a partial one and/or a nonsense print, meaning the Flare Gear print is guaranteed to go away in September unless that print is reprinted while the focus is still on Kalos, or by the old-cards-loving will of TPCi after that. Sadly, the focus will go away from Kalos after XY11/12.. :(
