Roger-roger, Addblock is now off on the beach!
I also try to get at least 1 item from the webcomics/animators/artists I love to show my support. They give me and thousands of others hours of entertainment and that should always be shown a bit of appreciation. After I realised I had been watching and listening to Egoraptor his stuff for almost 10 years I immediately bought 'Game Grumps' shirts for me and my best friend. I bought Savant and AVGN's their awesome Steam videogames and I tend to purchase music that artists normally put up for free themselves, like Bo Burnham.
I'm always sad when someone doesn't ship to Europe, I'm like "I would like to show my support, but you won't let me!" and just stare at the product with sad puppy eyes for a while. I think that actually happened with the Awkward Zombie store a long time ago! xD
Oh maaaaaan that con story is totally dang awesoooome.
Junko Mizuno sounds like a freakin cool lady, there is nothing better then someone you adore comes up to YOU out of nowhere. Someone should've made a picture of your face the moment you realised that it was her! Stuff like that feels so unreal the first few seconds, I love to see people's reactions to those things. x)
I've never had anything like that happen to me, so freaking cool! I only had this one time when I was like, 9 years old and my brother brought me to a.... Starwas con. Yesyes, Starwars is also part of my geekness, and that day the actor of Boba Fett (Jeremy Bulloch) from the original trilogy was signing and answering questions at a con here in The Netherlands. I was waiting in line wearing a 10x sizes too big official shirt with Boba Fett on it and when he walked by he suddenly turned around. He said "That's a nice shirt you got there kid" and pulled me all the way to the front of the line to be the first to get my shirt signed! He even gave a me a photo and everything, I'll probably remember that till the day I die. xD
That's nothing compared to your story though, I bet you keep that signed manga in a secret safe somewhere!
I have no idea how to reply to your writing part to be honest, because you basically describe my entire relationship with writing, It's quite astounding! The young start writing fiction, getting back into writing after online contest, storymaking for RPG's... your story is very relate-able!
I admire your spirit though, it's hard to keep writing when you're a perfectionist, I hope I get to read your finished work someday.
