  • Is it exclusively Cobalion/PlasmaKlang, or is it a PlasmaKlang/Shift Gear hybrid?
I think the latter is better; a friend of mine runs it and it actually does quite well for him. He does run it only with Cobalion EX and Keldeo EX as attackers, but still, the energy mobility lets him Max Potion stuff like nobody's business.
RaichuGirl, oh my! Yay! That's amazing! I'll be rooting for you over here in the States - not just at Nats but on your exams too!
RaichuGirl, oh my. Wow. That's not far off, and right after exams, no less. Sounds like a bit of a hectic schedule. You plan to go to Nationals?
RaichuGirl, ah, okay. I assume study day is like a crunch before finals.

I actually didn't play - or judge - at BRs this weekend. Didn't feel like it; I was tired and just wanted to hang out. I'm pretty sure I'm judging this weekend, though.
Any tourneys on your radar in the near future, or is that season not for a long while yet?
RaichuGirl, pretty good. Battle Roads again this weekend and I'm being lazy in the meantime. So, same as last week.

A little, 'you suppose'? Is something the matter?
    RaichuGirl, all right.
You sound at least a little more relaxed; that's good! I'm confident you'll be able to adequately prepare yourself.
RaichuGirl, and it might be a mite creepy :p
Well, the thought is what counts, so if there's anything I can do to help, please, say so.
RaichuGirl, can I help alleviate your anxiety in some way?
I hear back rubs do wonders, but I can't give back rubs through the Internet...yet.
RaichuGirl, I've been steadily gathering cards for my deck over the past year or so, maybe even a little more. Now that my deck's completed (took about $250 worth of spending money spent over about that year's time), it's really fun to just chill and play with people.

Why are you freaking out over your exams? Can't you take a deep breath and calm your mind a bit...?
RaichuGirl, I had a relatively nice weekend. Played for the first time in a YGO tournament - it was a local one, so pretty small, about 11 people.

I went 3-1, which for a first time isn't bad! Only lost in the first round, mostly due to bad draws. Then again, I was against a frustrating matchup.
Nah, but I went -- and am going this year -- to Nats. It's gonna be GREAT (I hope)!

lol, I love Donking... Which sounds like the final evolution to a Phanpy line when pronounced Don-king. 0_o

But I digress. Like, a lot. But yeah, I remember when I was at Nationals this one time; I was playing Yanmega/Donphan/Zoroark and I started Tyrogue. My opponent started Tyrogue as well. I won the coin flip and the game simultaneously. Talk about an adrenaline rush after that flip, 'cause he was playing literally my Autoloss - MagneBoar. Even though Donphan was great, my deck couldn't deal with OHKOs. Really, really scary.
Well, at worlds, you beat three people! Worlds! canihazyourtropicalbeaches What deck'd you run?
I didn't know at all, and never would have guessed, either!

    I don't sound very australia;

Well that's a good thing. You can't very well communicate through wind, waves and animal noises. :p I hear speaking Giraffe is the hardest language to speak.

And wait, you went to worlds? How'd you do?

I sent PMJ a message detailing how much free time I had, how much of it I would be able to put into the game and what idea I had for the game itself, meaning story and role concepts and whatnot. I said that I didn't really care whether or not it was a main game or a Spinoff, and he gave me an option between the two. But since games take multiple months to do on average, and I would be after both the one going on now and the one after, I chose a spinoff instead.

And... That's about it. I assume PMJ talks it over with his Mod buddies, and they decide whether or not they want to give you a game in a relatively short amount if time (I suspect KA was quite the advocate of mine hosting a game, much like Senator Shockwave was to Orion Pax in the early days of the War on Cybertron).

I have a piece of advice for you if you want to host a game; start making roles before you are accepted, not after. Making good, non broken and just as colorful roles is a lot harder than it sounds. This gives you a considerably larger amount of time so that you can look at the rules and make necessary changes, as well as work on the fluff.
RaichuGirl, that's not good... You need to get rid of any distractions while you're in the middle of doing homework. A lot of the time, distractions are at the core of procrastination. You need to find a way to put yourself where you won't be distracted.
