Discussion Tier List for 2018 Rotation

That sounds like a fun idea, but remember the more Greninja BREAK decks people see the more Giratina promo's you will see. Just a word of advice to those who plan on making Greninja BREAK decks for the new rotation.

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

I think it is fairly easy as long as your opponent doesn't play N. As long as you have 1 of the pieces in hand you can pull it off with 1 Magical Ribbon. One move I liked was when I had one Puzzle of Time in hand. I had already done it once, so I Magical Ribboned for the second Puzzle of Time...

Standard Volcanion EX/Baby Volc/Turtonator GX (budget irl deck)

I personally think the problem with a lot of Volcanion EX/Turtonator GX decks is that they run 4 Volcanion EX and 3 Turtonator GX. This deck does not work like that. You have to run 3 or Volcanion EX, and 1 or 2 Turtonator. I would up the baby Volcanion to 4 because that will be your energy...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

Glad to hear the deck is having success against other meta decks in the 2018 rotation. I will continue deck testing, and I'll tell you if I figure out any changes to the deck.

Alt. Format Tapu Bulu GX/Vikavolt (Post Rotation)

I actually have the Drampa GX in there in case I get ability locked by Greninja or Garbodor. I realize Greninja should be an easy matchup even if I get ability locked late game because I don't have to discard energies to OHKO. So I guess it is there to deal with Garbodor, and in case my...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

So far I have played one game against a Greninja Break deck. I technically lost, but my friend said without Vs Seeker he would have lost the match. Vs Seeker is going out of format, so I did win my first match. I got Sylveon GX out turn 1, and used Magical Ribbon because I chose to go second...

Discussion quad-Glaceon EX deck for 2018 rotation???

You may still want to use the Manaphy EX, so Glaceon EX can retreat into Jolteon EX. Thankfully though you don't need to put a water energy on Jolteon EX.

    Standard Mega Scizor/Tapu Fini

My bad I thought Mega Evolution counted as a stage. If your problem is missing it by 10 Tapu Fini isn't a solution. Nor is running a Vileplume just to counter Volcanion EX. I've never seen someone worry so much about one matchup. You are talking about one deck, that's it. I would run 2 cards at...

    Standard Mega Scizor/Tapu Fini

I'm don't know that much about this deck, but one piece of advice I could give you would be that you should worry a little less about fire decks. I understand your worry, but three Tapu Fini GX just to counter one fire deck. Even though fire decks gain Kiawe they are going to verse a lot of...

Standard [Post Shining Legends] Mega Venusaur

Didn't read the card completely lol. Here are the changes I made. -1 Venusaur EX -1 Mega Venusaur EX -1 Ivysaur -1 Venusaur Spirit Link -1 Rare Candy +2 Alolan Vulpix +3 Grass Energy I dropped a Venusaur EX and Mega Venusaur EX because it is very hard to even get 3 setup in a match. You could...

Discussion quad-Glaceon EX deck for 2018 rotation???

Have you ever considered running a Glaceon EX/Jolteon EX deck. Both require 2 colorless, so DCE works perfectly. You could go 4-4 Water and Lighting Energy or 5-5 if you prefer that. You could even throw in a Manaphy EX to switch in different situations. You would have to put a Water Energy on...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

Unless your versing a very expieenced player you should be able to pull it off once. Then you can still pull it off, and they may infer you have the Tormenting Spray and keep a energy, item, or pokemon. They may also hope you couldn't get that piece and take a chance. If they don't take the...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

I think the Tormenting Spray combo will be insane. Especially if you can pull it off early game. They have no setup, and are top decking for cards. I still have yet to deck test with it though. With Magical Ribbon it should be pretty consistent. Again though I do still have to deck test with it.

Standard [Post Shining Legends] Mega Venusaur

I really like this deck, and am excited to see how it does. I may start deck testing with proxys, but in theory I think the deck should work pretty well. Here would be my decklist. Pokemon: 18 3 Venusaur EX 3 Mega Venusaur EX 3 Bulbasaur 1 Ivysaur 3 Venusaur 2 Tapu Lele GX 1 Shining Genesect 2...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

I managed to fit 3 Tormenting Spray into my list, so I'm gonna start deck testing with it, and test the consistency of that combo. The only flaw is N, but with Vs Seeker going out of format your opponent can only play 4 N's. Unfortunately because Tapu Lele exists they can pull it, but from deck...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

You make a good point because this deck has no draw support, so starting trubbish would be devastating. Plus fitting 5 or 4 cards in an already tight deck list would be hard without hurting the consistency, and point of the deck.

    Standard Turonator GX Decklist(Input Please!)

I understand where you are coming from, but with a 2-2 Starmie line I still have yet to play a game where both Starmie or both Staryu are prized. It could happen, but I don't think it could happen enough to justify 2 more Fire Energy. I'm running 4 Brooklet Hill so I can typically get a Starmie...

    Standard Turonator GX Decklist(Input Please!)

Lol new input is always good, but as long as it is new. I'm still not sure why you think running 2 more Fire Energy is better. You use Kiawe turn 1, and you need 1 or 2 Fire Energies in the discard to double Steam Up. For the rest of the game manually attaching energies shouldn't be a problem.

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

Another idea I have been debating is running a 1-1 ability lock Garbodor. This seems weird and out of place, but here's why I think it might work. For one it means you don't have to worry about Octillery and Oranguru when you use the combo that gets them down to 0 cards. My second reason is that...

Standard Sylveon GX Post Rotation (BreakThrough-Burning Shadows)

This is a combo which I think could make Sylveon GX a tier 2 or higher deck. You play Red Card, and bring your opponent down to 4 cards. Then you use Delinquent assuming you have a Stadium, and bring them down to 1 card. Most likely that card is a Draw Supporter, so then you play Tormenting...
