I don't remember the first card I got, but I remember the first rare card I got. My first ever booster was a Base Set packet, non-First Edition. I got Blastoise, and I still have that card in a folder today.

I've seen a lot of people selling cards from the World Championship decks you can buy, that aren't legal. I'd hate to get duped like that, especially if paying the standard price for the real thing.

So, do our TO's just give us this at some point during the next few weeks / months? I'm in England and we often don't even get the things we need delivered at all, and if not they're usually late.

Well yeah, that was one worry. I do have Rare Candies though, so if that came about I could get teh Nidoran and do it that way. I'l likely end up gong for 2-1-2, or 2-2-2 as you say if I can't find even more useful cards.

Yeah, I thought the replacements were the Promo Cards and DS Stickers..

Yeah, they're legal, but I'm not sure if the likes of that Roseanne's or Claydol for example would be allowed once rotated out.. I'd imagine no, but I'm hoping they are xD (though Roseanne's was POP8 so I think that could be safe still).

Just because your rating is below 1600 doesn't mean you have a 'losing record' does it? Mine is only 1588.36, but I only started playing TCG just before Platinum: Arceus came out. I've played eight matches, won four and lost four.

I'm pretty sure Species Clause is still in tact.. Those rules are just the new rules, or things that have been tweaked slightly since last year. Every other rule from the previous year is probably still in use.

If Donphan Prime is on the bench and is damaged by an attack, what exactly happens? For example, if I used Donphan Prime's Earthquake attack and had a second Donphan Prime on the bench, would it receive the 10 damage? I think it's safe to say that the decks will have Holo versions of the regular HG/SS Meganium, Typhlosion, and Feraligatr, as well as plenty of the 'new' Energy. Just those will cover about half of the deck - the rest will be random crap mostly, though we'll have to wait and see which other Rare...
