I don't think this will be viable until Virbank Gym comes out. Then you can rely on OHKOing Garchomp and Empoleon without Burn flips, and you can OHKO Hydreigon with a Plus Power. Then you can also use Raticate as your backup attacker.

The deck has everything a good deck needs, but it fizzles hard late game when all your Altarias are gone because even with Super Rods, Swablus can be tough to search out.

People don't really seem to look at Top Cut performance at Japan's World Qualifiers. Yes, Garchomp won one, but it has Top Cutted fewer times than Darkrai/Hydreigon and Eel Variants, and Eel Variants have won two. Garchomp is a decent deck, but it's really overhyped.

You need at least 1 Zekrom EX for the Hydreigon matchup. It's also somewhat useful against Garchomp, but generally it uses up too many resources to use more than once or twice.

It'll never hit more than 100 dollars. I don't think anyone's willing to pay that much for a card they don't really need.

I think there's a decent chance there will be a promo/tin of the regular Rayquaza, since there's 3 different artworks in Japan.

I wouldn't play more than 1 Rayquaza in my Eels, and I wouldn't play and Fire Energies. I would just use if for the first attack for early rushing against Garchomp/Altaria. Have you guys tested Eels against Garchomp/Altaria? It's pretty simple, just Catcher + Thundurus against Swablus early...

Keep in mind that Japan's metagame isn't like ours at all. While yes, we have more or less the same card pool, their tournament structure makes deck building keep different goals in mind. Their format rewards taking quick, cheap knock outs and denying prizes, something Darkrai/Hydreigon can do...

I don't think Ether will be out for another 2 sets, but either way it's a very unreliable Energy Accel engine, even with Lunatone/Musharna/Pokedex.

Even if the Raticate player has 2 Rattatas, Landorus can STILL donk them. Landorus EX is a very good card which adds some first turn potential to Fighting decks. Still, the success of Fighting decks is pretty much decided by how much play Tool Scrapper sees.
