    HydoBoar (Hydreigon/Emboar) HGSS-NV

Dropping two collectors is not a good idea. Stage 2 decks really need those basics out T1. With only two collector, that isn't going to happen. I do agree with your adds though. I'd probably drop N for a third twins and that second switch, because this deck is going to fall behind stuff like...

    ZPST

-1 Cleffa -1 Seeker -4 Cheren -1 Retrieval -3 Energy Search +1 Tyrogue +1 Sage's +5 Lightning Energy +1 Juniper +2 SSU Energy Search is so pointless in this deck. The only time a deck would EVER need energy search is if you run more than one type of basic energy. In a mono energy deck, a basic...

    Alt. Format ---

-1 Energy Retrieval -1 Evolite -2 Energy Search -1 Pokemon Catcher -1 Pignite +2 Pluspower +1 Rare Candy +3 Junk Arm Pluspower for Zoroark is going to be essential. Otherwise you can't OHKO the dragons, and leave yourself open to the outrage kill. This may also help if you're stuck using...

    Rare Candy in the future?

One of the biggest problems with the last format that led to an early rotation, iirc, was Sableye SF paired with the new Black and White T/S/S ruling. Just look at JWittz's video on Sabledonk. Makes ZPS look practically like a joke. Guaranteed going first with things like Crobat G, Poketurn, SP...

[W] Catcher, Collector, [H] Zekrom FA, Tornadus, Vanilluxe!

RE: [W] Zekrom FA, Pachy CoL [H] Donphan Prime, Reuniclus, RDL and other Primes Eh had to try :P No big deal, I got the Pachy at league anyway. I'll check your list for Scizor Prime tho.

in the pokemon tcg, why isnt there a poisn type?

I think part of the reason lies with overall fluidity of the game. Having almost 20 kinds of energy, along with 20 combinations of weaknesses and resistances would be really messy I think.

    The metagame thread.

Reshiphlosion is all over the place at my league. I see a couple Reshiboar, Stage 1 rush, and your occasional ZPST.

    ZPST (Zekrom)

RE: ZPST I had retrieval in here and there are times it definitely helps, but one thing that keeps me from using it is the fact that, all too often, I'll have a Juniper for draw, and no means to get the energy down quicker unless I wait on manual attachments. Depending on whether I might need a...

[W] Catcher, Collector, [H] Zekrom FA, Tornadus, Vanilluxe!

RE: [W] Zekrom FA, Pachy CoL [H] Donphan Prime, Reuniclus, RDL and other Primes @ Afro-G I'm definitely interested in the FA dragons. I might have someone locally interested in one of the two T-Tar primes, but the other is guaranteed up for trade and I'll know about T-Tar 2 later this week...

    ZPST (Zekrom)

RE: ZPST Decided on 3 collector/3 Dual Ball for now. There are some hands I have the energy I need and I really don't want to screw around with Dual Ball flips. I think PC is overall better for Tornadus start though. Unless Hurricane gets the donk, I'd rather move the energy to Zekrom than...

    Status deck - Vileplume/Leafeon

RE: Status deck (Needs main Pokemon from deck in title) I don't know Lilligant well off the top of my head, but it didn't seem much worth remembering when I saw it. I'd drop it for Houndoom Prime. This card is great with Leafeon/Roserade, as flipping heads adds 50 more damage to Miasma wind--70...

Meganium Prime (The Underdog grass deck)

Yeah 54 cards. I thought the deck was a little tight when I was working on it. Anyway, if he evolves Metapod, it's pretty much as good as dead since he probably wants Metapod's pokebody. I don't think it matters much though. At 80 HP, if Metapod gets dragged out, it's probably going to die...

    ZPST (Zekrom)

RE: ZPST Funny you mention Tornadus. In my playtesting, I've found Tornadus is much better than Zekrom to begin with. I'd thought of dropping Zekrom, so I'm kinda glad that it was a viable idea. One thing I've wondered is if energy returner would be better than energy retrieval, as I've noticed...

    GyraGatr + Donphan and Dragons

I'm no mod but you might want to lighten up on the bumps. Anyway, I might ditch Gyrados for straight Beartic. Beartic is a better disruption overall I think. Also gives you more consistency. imo the Gyarados really aren't that good. If you're going for originality, drop Beartic. 1-1 isn't going...

[W] Catcher, Collector, [H] Zekrom FA, Tornadus, Vanilluxe!

RE: [W] Reshiram FA [H] Ttar Prime, Pachirisu CoL, Legend Halves and other many Primes Okay long story short I've been out of the country for a couple months and have only really been on here recently. Since then both the meta and my wants/haves have changed. I'm not gonna go crazy with trades...

Raikou from Call of Legends (SL#9) [4/18]

    1. Analyze the stats of the card (HP, Weakness, Resistance, Retreat cost). 90 HP for a basic used to be pretty good, but with cards like Zekrom, Reshiram, and even Cobalion, 90 HP is pretty weak for a non evolving basic. 2 Retreat for such a light basic is pretty terrible as well. Weakness is...

    Reshiphlosion or ZPST?

Of the two decks, I would say Reshiphlosion is by far the easier to use. For that reason, while ZPS concerns me slightly more in my matchup, I'd say go Reshipholsion. It has built in draw, built in energy recovery, good attack power, and generally good matchups. ZPS is good, but I do think it's...

    Tornadus or Thundurus?

If I'm not mistaken, Thundrous can survive Donphan's E-Quake if it runs Evolite. Here's the problem with Thundrous as a "almost 100%" T2 donk. Most decks, barring the slowest like Magneboar or google, can easily and consistently get setup by T2, meaning that you have to go first in order to even...

Meganium + Max potion = tank

I think he means dragging out Gothetelle's prevolutions before it can reach its final stage. Magneboar could probably beat Gothetelle pretty handily in terms of damage, but it needs some way of surviving Catcher. Heavy dose of Reshiram early game with Twins and Retrieval/Fisherman might make it...
