(1) 'Freeze Bolt' and 'Cold Flare' Scans, Translations Coming Soon! [7/11]

That would make it have numerous uses. Maybe not in Darkrai/Hydreigon, but in Garchomp and other stage 2 decks with multiple Evolution lines it could be quite helpful. It could also be helpful in other decks that only need 1 of the Evolution line they are getting. When you put 2 of the basics of that Evolution line down in case one gets KOed, if one doesn't get KOed you just have a basic there with nothing to do with it. If you put down 2 Dittos instead, you could evolve one into the Stage1/2 you needed, and evolve the other into something else you needed, or even just a basic.

Ditto can also be used for a surprise factor. Your opponent could have no idea what the stage 2 in your deck might be, or you could even use it to transform into a fully charged basic or EX, instead of needing to charge up the basic or EX on your bench which would put it at risk of Catcher.

I think Ditto makes every Pokémon you put on it have the advantage of being a basic Pokémon, so Eviolite and Prism energy will still work on stage 2 Pokémon.

Okay, that makes sense. All I was thinking was the surprise factor thing, which while nifty, I'm not entirely sure is worth an extra slot and extra searching. I can see it working in Empoleon as attaching a water energy to it on your bench, then if your opponent KOs your active turn it into a Terrakion, or if they don't, turn it into a piplup and evolve it. Then later game any extra dittos can fill bench space.

Oh, and it also helps if the basic you're trying to evolve has less HP than Ditto.

I don't really think so, I think once Ditto is transformed it's like it's not there.

I think when ditto becomes that Pokemon, he would get everything that's on that card. So if you turned him into a Piplup and evolved him, he'd be an evolution card. Just like if you turned him into an EX, he'd be an EX cause that's printed on the card.

Yeah, that's true. I guess Ditto would be usefull if you don't have a lot of Basic Pokémon in you'r deck. He acks as a benchwarmer for the other Pokémons, but I am a little concerned that people are gonna catch him if you start chargeing him, then again he could act as a decoy, fx transform the first one in to a Mewtwo it will have your opponent on guard when you put down a second Ditto, he might catch it out even if it was no threat and buy you some extra time.

HOLD ON! You could actually have a charged Mewtwo EX on your bench without the danger of having it catched out and knocked for 2 prizes because it's still just a Ditto! Mewtwo could sit safe in your hand without your opponent would know. I see potential.

Ah, but all EX Pokémons are basic Pokémon, so the EX rule would still apply, but the Ditto card says that you shoul treat the card you put on top of it as a basic Pokémon, so technically if Ditto transforms into an evolved Pokémon, Ditto is still basic, well sorta technically speaking-ish.

Ditto is basically Swoop! Teleporter. Just drop a Ditto on your Bench and keep your opponent guessing what you're going to play. Helps with Stage 2's and thin lines (I'd love to see 1-0-1 lines).

EDIT: Sturm, Ditto can only transform into a Basic.

Argh, so you can't evole the Pokémon you put on top of him?

You can evolve the Pokemon you put on top of Ditto, but it Ditto follows the same ruling as Swoop! Teleporter, Ditto must be in play for more than 1 turn for you to evolve it.

Ah, okay okay. So just for second opinion, do you think if you eventually got a stage 2 Pokémon on Ditto, that it would be effected by Eviolite/Prism/Skyarrow Bridge?

No, since you have to evolve the Basic Pokemon that was put onto Ditto.

Of course, no official ruling has come out, but I'm very sure that what I said is correct.

Side note: Vespiqueen + Dusknoir. :D

Ok thanks,

A man can dream though. :D

You talk about people killing it when you start getting energy on it, but then say its a good way to start getting energy on Mewtwo. People will still catcher it and kill it when you start piling energy on it. Sure its not 2 prizes, but at 70 hp, ditto is basically a free prize; it also make the energy and time you spent attaching that energy all a waste.

And then your opponet drops N...

Well, they reprint my favorite Legendary... AND IT SUCKS..

I'll give cookies to who ever can find a way to sucsefully cure Cresselia EX's totally horribleness. Also, the Kyurem formes just plain suck. They each get KO'd by other dragons, and with Ace Specs, they kO themselves.

I'm also hatin on Japan for making Terrakion again...

My best thought is Gardevoir... but that doesn't seem too great... Maybe load it with defenders, eviolite, and Gold potion to take advantage of its built in healing.

Why is it that whenever a playable dragon EX comes it, the only thing people keep saying about them is "there weakness is terrible. It sucks". The same thing is happening to Rayquaza EX. A bad match-up to ONE FREAKIN' DECK (Garchomp/Altaria) isn't going to kill it. News flash, Darkrai EX has an terrible weakness too. To an extremely techable card no less. And it's he the BDIF and will most likely continue to be in the BDIF.

White Kyurem EX can OHKO EXs with it's ACE SPEC. And even without it, you can use a Pluspower and get tails on burn to OHKO EXs. Black Kyurem does kinda suck though. I think Cresselia got me infected too. If you find a cure, please let me know. I think it's killing me X_X
