There. I'm getting Y for sure. The new mega charizard looks way overdone, and it's kinda like they are trying to get us to get X version with the cool new charizard instead of the lame old one. This Mega Charizard has little resemblance to Charizard at all, and it is fairly obvious that the Game Developers are super biased again towards one game with a 'cooler' looking design then the 'crappy' Y one. To be fair though, they made the X legendary look stupid while the Y one looked great. (See Pokemon White, Pokemon Black 2, and Pokemon Rumble U, where Zekrom and Black Kyurem have been featured much much more then White Kyurem and Reshiram. For example, White the movie was in theaters while Black was not, and In Pokemon Rumble U Black Kyurem is the main villian while White Kyurem and Regular Kyurem hardly have any role in the game what so ever.)

Again Reggie, it hasn't been confirmed/denied that the MegaEvolution X & Y are confined to one game only, or that they're tradeable. So you're a bit early for a biased rant XD

Serebii says they are. WPM's news post implies it. Also, the use of X and Y in their names implies that they're specific to their corresponding games. Not sure what official sources say, but at the very least, there's strong evidence in favor of them being version exclusives.
EDIT: Main site confirms that Charizardite X and Charizardite Y are version exclusive items. Oddly though, it does not say the same for Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y.

I'm not worried about whether or not they'll be tradeable, I'm almost certain they will. I'm worried about how easy it will be to obtain them through trading. If we only get one Mega Stone per game, it'll be exactly like trading for legendaries, most people won't be willing to part with them and it'd be extremely difficult to ask for one in a trade.

You know, I was going to go Fennekin + Bulbasaur, but this new Charizard is making me rethink everything.
I've been hearing rumors that those who have the early leaked games confirmed that Charizard is the only kanto starter with two forms. I really hope it's wrong, because as much as I love charizard it is a gross slam on us fans. And I'm not being too harsh I think, I've supported every single change game freak has brought in gen six, no matter how questionable. I'll still get, play and love the game, but I will be extremely disappointed and insulted. It gives you two ways to focus and train charizard... And takes some of the enjoyment out of training the othe two because there is less options... And it's not like charizard has anything on the other two pokemon making it deserving of an extr evolution. I'd be very curious what their logic was about giving only charizard two forms, because I really can't think of a single reason except blatant favouritism. :/ Not hating on anyone who loves the forms, I adore both I just want the others to get some love too. Still going with mega blastoise though . Here's hoping I'll get to choose between two awesome forms, and I I don't, my team of fairies will eliminate every x charizard for the first week to get my frustration before I get my own mega charizard.

They also said there would be exceptions for pokemon with levitate... So maybe it's really just pokemon with wings that are described as fliers. For example, beedrill can fly, but he's a bug/poison type and doesn't have levitate. It would be stupid for him not to be able to fly... And then there's doduo. It's flying type, but never leaves the ground. It doesn't even float like magneton or haunter. I really hunk it has nothing to do with type. (Not that pokemon has always been logical with the flying mons)

I mean, easily the most recognizable pokemon is Pikachu. Hands down, so if it's for emphasis, it ought to have been pikachu. And yes, Charizard is up there, but I think Venusaur and Blastoise are pretty equally tied. All this says to me is that they're favouring Charizard because Red has one and Ash has one and they're the "good guys". So instead of favouring the gamers opinion, the ones who will most likely play these games, they're favouring the anime and manga fans.
I'm not saying they shouldn't have done it, but man, couldn't they have gotten way more bang for their buck with all three? It's just two extra mega's man I don't mean to argue (well, yes I guess I DO mean to argue, rather I don't mean to insult). I mean, if the rumors are true than there is nothing we can do to change it. Nintendo did what they did, I just fail to see how that was a smart decision. Like, at all.
Why does Charizard NEED two Mega forms, isn't one enough? I'm not saying it isn't cool or anything (I do like this one more than the other one) but why show that kind of favoritism to one starter (and a certain Legendary too >.>). It should have only ONE mega form and that's it
