Oh, you're talking about the "Nintendo 3DS Games Coming Soon" thing in the eShop. Well, it still makes no mention of purchasing the game. They all say "Coming to Retail" or "Available Now at Retail".

Gah! Got it to work. Seems the AR Viewer is very specific. The AR Marker must be perfectly centered in the black area to work correctly. I was able to hand-draw a larger '?' AR Card with some success, but it wasn't a perfect replica. Thought I could do the same here. Guess I'm going to have to cut out a large black square and mark out an area in the center for the Marker. I cut out squares from 3x5 cards so I can easily make any Marker. Well, at least I hope that works. If it does, then I can take photos of large Pokemon! :D

I didnt know we could just draw them out like that i just put the camera toward the computer and scanned it. Does it matter what kind of paper we draw it on or no

I think all that's important is that the Marker is properly drawn out and centered (for the most part; seems it doesn't need to be perfect perfect) on a black background. The border around the black background needs to be white. The size of the black area determines how large the Pokemon is.

Sometimes, I can't get it to work if the Marker is too small while the black area is large. Not sure why that happens. For example, this works while this doesn't. Hm...

By the way, that first one works so well that in Firefox, you can bring the AR Viewer to the tab icon and it'll work to an extent.

Ok thanks so i can just cut out some black construction paper and try to draw out the things right?

Well, if you can. I recommend using a ruler and looking at the Marker as a formation of white squares. Makes measuring easier. Hope it works. lol

I just scanned a virizion marker with the regular AR viewer and poof came out a Kirby i was like wth :))

More fund with the AR Viewer :p

Next: Giant Zekrom and Reshiram!

Yeah, I was hoping a LONG time ago to make a life-size Zekrom AR Card. In order to do that, I need to take a ruler and measure the height of the 3D figure on a certain whatever by whatever AR Card. Then I will do lots of maths and make giant Zekrom!

But seriosuly, I need to make it. I might test it out and make a life-size Cobalion first to see how it would work.

I think the reason why they are showing up as "unkown" is because we can only get 3 pokemon by using the AR cards, but I for some reason I got six: Victini, Zekrom, Reshiram, Cobalion, Vrizion, Terrakion. Did anyone get any other beside those six?

There's a video of people in Japan, who made a giant AR card, like 50 feet by 50 feet, something like that. They brought it to a big hangout/meetup/central park-ish kind of thing, and they had one of them go into a building with a 3DS, and made a giant Samus from Metroid, and it was bigger than the nearby buildings!

I hope to make a large AR Card eventually (already did the measurements for a 5'6" Mii). At least before the StreetPass Day on June 25th.

For the Pokedex 3D AR Markers, you get the best results from a vertical Marker. The 3DS automatically makes the Pokemon perpendicular to the ground. Only disadvantage is that you won't be able to get a 360 view of the Pokemon by moving around, but that wouldn't be the point of this experiment :p

Thanks for the info. I already made a standard AR Card the size of 4 pieces of printer paper. I'm trying to get the measurements for Zekrom just right. I don't plan to make it just yet though. I might make a Tepig today nad maybe the Musketeer Trio this weekend. Zekrom I'm hoping to finish before the end of this month.

Sorry for getting a bit off-topic but, are there going to be any events for StreetPass Day anywhere or whatever? What really is the point of StreetPass Day?

Apparently, Nintendo designated June 25th at Nintendo 3DS StreetPass Day and left it to everyone to select the location within their area. You pretty much meet other 3DS owners and use StreetPass. What you do is up to everyone participating. I don't think Nintendo has anything formally planned for the day, as they're not formally sponsoring and specific event. They just want everyone to meet other users.
