Ok, last off-topic post.

This will from now on be my sarcasm font.

Please stay on-topic and discuss the details of the news post only. Thanks. ~Xous

These Items will mess up the game IMO. And what if someone uses this poison field on you. That would get annoying fast.

That's why they're going to be rare.
Plus I have faith in GameFreak that they can find a good balance, like they do with the Pokemans themselves.

I doubt they'll affect tournaments and wireless battles. It's used by the trainers, so can't be used over wireless or wifi. (Unless they change that.)

K, That would be better... unless trainers have endless supplies(Gym Leaders)

Hey Martijn, those items are a 1 time use kind of deal right? Also I'm considering these are battle items, like x attack and x defend. It's actually been a while since we had new battle items.

Would it be as annoying as the gym leaders/ elite 4 using full restores every time their health bars got in the red :3

P.S. Martijn I still have faith in you!

I want to believe this but I can't. It would be ridiculous if the trainer threw/used an item to change the weather. That would make the games too magical, and it would make no sense in Pokémon games. It's naturally raining in one area, some kid throws some item. And before you know it, it's sunny. And it wasn't a Pokemon who would change the weather, it would be an item...

Yeah, I can really see these items being in the games. Sort of like a "rare candy" of sorts but with battle items (or field items if the name suits you more).

And by "rare candy", I mean in its rarity for the most part. And if that is the case where it is especially rare items, there will have to be a lot of thought by the player as to how and when it will be used. A very interesting concept that I will hold as truth until proven otherwise.

And I'm glad some people actually know what sarcasm is without the user having to use a special font color for it. :)

wait... if i missed, mart (lol) were you beign sarcastic with that whole post of yours or was it real info?

Seriously, you are in a rainy area and you throw "Solar Ball (or whatever it is)" and it becomes sunny for the battle. I understand Pokémon because they have special powers... but items and human beings?

Doesn't make much sense to me.

Nintendo logic, my good sir. Nintendo logic :p

Well I'm guessing it's like the X Attack in terms of use, and the rare candy in terms of rarity. So you can only get a few in-game, and can only use them in a battle.

There are already quite a few things in Pokémon that don't make sense. Why does candy increase a level?

It's like food, you eat more you grow more. Animals eat food.

But human beings can't change weather.

However, animals can change the weather?
An animal holding an item can prolong weather?

Dude if this were true there would be no more droughts and famines in the Pokemon world!
